One thing I realized is that the sword in Jarul’s head is the same as the one King Herald is holding in that panel. Jarul also seemed to justify why Loki killed Herald. Herald was probably evil, Loki and Jarul found out and allied, killed him but to not throw Elbaf into chaos they said Loki killed him in cold blood. It is no coincidence that the holy knights could be summoned on the throne room (which means that they had to have put the pentagrams there). King Herald was 100% working with Carmel and trafficking giants to the WG. Maybe Mosa is also Jarul. He had a very hairy den den mushi and Loki seemed to talk to him with respect in mind.
My guess is that jarul is the traitor. I believe he might be the one who summoned them which is why he arrived late to the parry. He seems to be the one who's seen everything that happened to king harald and if loki is actually a good person then jarul framing him makes no sense bc that shows hel do anything for his own selfish reasons

Just like the Gauls the giants love to hunt, eat, party and fight over trivial things. But that's not all : the way the giants talks about Nika is also very similar to the way the Gauls talk about Toutatis (or Teutates) who is associated to the God of War and the God of Protection in Celtic mythology . The exclamation "By Toutatis !" is often use in the books. (And other gaulish gods like "Belenos" & "Taranis") But according to good old Wikipedia : "The name Teutates has been repeatedly interpreted as a general title, applying to any tribe's tutelary deity. In different inscriptions, therefore, the name Teutates would apply to different gods." Which is basically what was explained in this chapter. It's so interesting imo.
Interesting, that the God-knights probably don't know about the Strawhats being in Elbaph: If they're there to recruit Loki and not to stop the strawhats, this is going to be a sweet surprise.. And then just imagine if imu suddenly calls them and tells them to be cautious since luffy is there..

Holy knights don't interfere with pirates or marines unless it's something related to the world government. If they receive any requests from Imu they definitely will interfere

Because that way, you can still have that typical 1v1 between Luffy and the main bad guy, but also have it feel like more of a team fight, since the other Straw Hats taking out God Knights simultaneously would directly impact Luffys fight and help him, due to Imu loosing some of his powers with each defeated God Knight!
Really don't think there are multiple sun god nika. There's just one and many different interpretations of what he represents. Liberation, destruction, laughter. Honestly it's probably all of them combined. Liberation for the weak, destruction for cruel rulers of the current world, laughter and cheer for his allies
I’m like 95% sure that Loki is mostly a good guy now. Also, I think it’s important to see what the different translations say about the elder giants’ sword wound. The one I read said he *got* the wound while trying to stop King Harold’s killing, not that Loki literally gave it to him directly. Also, traditionally the first hand account of people who got severe head trauma may not be perfect.
the holy knights are all streamers/youtubers. they were filming a ''last to leave the circle'' challenge whenever there were attacks on MarieJois (including Fishing Tiger, Kuma, and Sabo + the rest of the revs). Gunko is used to the camera angle above her waist and that's why (similar to Syv) she's not used to wear pants. Saint Garling is like one of the OG's who got to host a late night show with the rest of the elders
One thing i found to be interesting was that Roads giant crow, Muginn seems to be the combination of the names Huginn and Muninn which in norse mythology were a pair of ravens which served Odin by scouting Midgard (realm of the humans) and bringing him information.

I think the reason Nami and Zoro went with Luffy to the underworld is because Oda is setting up the fight with the people there. Luffy fights Stabs, Nami fights Gunko and Zoro fights Loki (for some reason), since he doesnt seem to like Loki based on what he said this chapter
they never say loki stabbed jarul but that he was stabbed trying to stop him. almost like stuff was just happening around him and he was blamed because of the prophecy. also think that streak of lightning was them leaving the castle since they go see loki after this page
Between Loki, Big Mom, and to a lesser extent Colon, I think a big theme in Elbaf is going to be about society's tendency to cast out those who can't or don't conform to the expectations of society. Not only would they have already been biased against Loki because of the prophecy, but his destructive behavior as a child likely reminded them of Linlin who didn't know how to control either her own strength or her hunger pangs. Loki seems to have been more intentionally mischievous, but then again wasn't Oden also a little hellion when he was growing up? And Linlin killing Jorul, the horse's death, and his mother's death have nothing to do with him but he was the scapegoat just for being born around that time. The Elbafian child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.
Theory: what if garling gets a fenrir yokai power and his two sons stabs and shanks represent skoll and hati who chase the sun(lufffy) and moon(imu). One thing that makes me think this is that any of lokis animals could have come to help him like the gorilla or polar bear but oda specifically chose the wolf, and also, stabs(fake shanks) was the only one to react to it and gunko was unfazed.🤔 Also garling replaced saturn and one of saturns moons is called fenrir🤯
I believe the variants of the sun gods interpretation are just due to information lost in history. Luffs is still the real and only sun god, who is all in one. Laughter, destruction (e.g. the fishman island prophecy), liberation. And we are still missing too much context to label destruction as just bad and evil here.

stabs is going to be a clone of shanks who’s used as a way for loki to get “revenge” on shanks, loki will notice the gap in power between shanks and stabs during their fight as more shanks glaze heading towards later arcs and i believe most of if not all the gods knights will be clones of people instead of regular non celestials. the gods knights most likely want loki to clone him / kill him for his fruit, I can’t see HOLY knights being anyone other than celestial blood or clones tbh

This is my theory Jarul said the world has been destroyed twice before. Maybe the first time, Nika lived during a war, or maybe he and his loved ones were slaves. This makes sense because, in the present One Piece world, the people who think of Nika are mostly slaves. Nika might have "dreamt up" the Devil Fruit, (as Vegapunk said that devil fruits came into existence due to the dreams and will of ppl) because he wanted to liberate people and put smiles on everyone’s faces. He might have even named the fruit after himself. He then had to destroy his old world to create one where everyone is free and happy. and after he died, the fruit found its way to joyboy, the next suitable candidate that inherited nika's will or is the reincarnation of nika. JoyBoy grew up in peaceful times. But he was like oden, felt like a prisoner being in just one. So he went to sea to look for adventures, and was dubbed the first pirate. The 20 kingdoms then unites to take done the ancient kingdom. a kingdom which i believe nika and his friends created to over see the world so its free from wars and slavery. But it fell when joyboy got defeated some how. And joyboy's world was destroyed and recreated by the newly formed WG to the present day one piece world. The fruit then finds its way to the next suitable wielder: Luffy, who inherited nika's and joyboy's will (or maybe he's just their reincarnation). Luffy now has to destroy the current One Piece world to create the one he envisions-the world he described to Kaido.
Shanks took down Loki, a God's knight level character, one armed. How strong was he with both arms when he was clashing with Mihawk? A sun god of liberation and sun god of destruction may be the same thing. Brings me back to Doflamingos speech about justice and history. Like if Nika was freeing / liberating people then he’s a God of liberation but obviously to the people who were being the oppressors they would view him as a God of Destruction. The world being destroyed two times over makes me think of my past theory that Nahua (Aztec/Mexica) cultures are the basis for the sun gods and the ancient civilizations that worshipped them! There are strong visual connections to the sun god lore and Nahua visual motifs (the moon and shandora) And now, we see that the same sun god worshipped as a liberator is also the destroyer. In Nahua culture, the Teteotl that is the sun is eventually the one who will destroy it, there have been four suns prior to this one which were destroyed by earthquakes, flooding, jaguars, etc. One previous sun was Tlaloc (rain) but the current is Huitzilopochtli (war) which may have some influence on Elbaph's sun god

im loving oda having everyone embodying their inner personas from those east blue days, the little things about our beloved strawhat crew thats makes them unique and funny quriks. Take a closer look at that panel of King Harald, it's actually a painting on the wall of what could be the castle. The black lightning is actually tears in the painting, you can see the ornate frame and what looks like a brick wall.
Oh! What if it’s a 3v3* where Stabs and Gunko free Loki and as they were his liberators, he sides with the knights momentarily. Then it could be Stabs V Luffy, Zoro V Loki as a stall, and Nami, Rodo and Zeus V Gunko. And maybe Luffy doesn’t start out with Gear 5 out of shock because “Shanks?” factor. Then he gets serious, Nikas up, and Loki turns, becomes 2v4* and man of coast breaks it up before it fully blows out.

They never specified who stabbed jarule.. They just said that he was stabbed trying to stop Loki.. that could imply that he was stabbed by Loki, King Harold, or maybe even a guard that was trying to stop Loki.. or maybe a guard that was working with Loki to kill King Harold..

This is a random thought, but if you ever saw the Movie or cartoon/ comic of The Mask…it’s an ancient mask the imbues the power of Loki the trickster God. God of destruction and laughter. Also rewatching egghead I noticed Luffy getting mad at not being able to eat a hologram and he transform Into Gear 5 ish only difference his hair was red and his skin darker.
Gunko's ribbon/bandage sleeves with the arrow point look so much like that attack Imu did (seemingly with their tail). But, but! Wasn't there a silhouette character at the far side when Imu was in that flower garden? Do you think it's possible that was Gunko?? And that she could've simply been standing next to or behind Imu at the time of that attack on Cobra and Sabo. Giving the illusion that it was Imu's attack. Or, OR. Gunko has an ability that she transforms into a cloak/robe and maybe Imu literally wears her for extra protection. 🤔
I think shanks might have tricked Loki in some way or maybe made a deal with him. Unless he was just trying to bluff about his strength to Luffy, Loki thought Shanks was a coward and it wouldn't make sense for him to think like this if he lost a fight to him. This would also fit with his idealistic nature of being a warrior, and Loki seems disappointed he didn't fight Shanks 6 years ago

I don't think Loki would have any problem with that, he told Luffy to keep it a secret yes but obviously meant that he should keep it a secret from the other giants knowing that the other giants would never let Luffy free him, when he realise that the other two Luffy brought will actually help him get free Loki will get exactly what he wants. Sure Rodo will be there too and could tell the other giants but he's Namis slave now so I think he will do whatever Nami tell him to and won't ruin the secret.
I think Oda just hinted something important. Blackbeard may believe Sun God to be a ruler. His obsession with the Darkness Devil fruit may be because he believes it is the Sun God fruit. i still feel like there’s multiple factions in the cover story. Obviously there’s the tobi roppo or atleast who’s who. I think the big mom pirates will show up. The tobi roppo could have taken minatomo to build his little shack and kidnapped women just for fun; but i think it makes more sense that the big mom pirates kidnapped him to fix their ship after it fell off the water fall. Then they could be kidnapping women to feed their souls to big mom so she can heal up. Oda also went out of his way to hide smoothie and the big mom pirates location during vegapunk’s message.
This got me thinking, what if Nikas fruit was divided into two parts, which are "the Freedom or liberation (luffy) and Destruction (Loki) part of Nika", and when the two meet, that's what actually cause the Beginning of Ragnarok in the onepiece world

Despite the long wait between chapters, I have absolutely nothing to say about the pacing of this arc so far. Everything’s moving neither too slow or too fast.
THEORY: What if some of the holy knights are just half Celestial Dragons. And Gunko might be bunny's older sister, the name Gunko (Army Child) might be because she is Ginny of the revolutionary army's child. Because that way, you can still have that typical 1v1 between Luffy and the main bad guy, but also have it feel like more of a team fight, since the other Straw Hats taking out God Knights simultaneously would directly impact Luffys fight and help him, due to Imu loosing some of his powers with each defeated God Knight!

The one I read said he *got* the wound while trying to stop King Harold’s killing, not that Loki literally gave it to him directly. Also, traditionally the first hand account of people who got severe head trauma may not be perfect.
the holy knights are all streamers/youtubers. they were filming a ''last to leave the circle'' challenge whenever there were attacks on MarieJois (including Fishing Tiger, Kuma, and Sabo + the rest of the revs). I think the reason Nami and Zoro went with Luffy to the underworld is because Oda is setting up the fight with the people there. Luffy fights Stabs, Nami fights Gunko and Zoro fights Loki (for some reason), since he doesnt seem to like Loki based on what he said this chapter
they never say loki stabbed jarul but that he was stabbed trying to stop him. almost like stuff was just happening around him and he was blamed because of the prophecy.

Between Loki, Big Mom, and to a lesser extent Colon, I think a big theme in Elbaf is going to be about society's tendency to cast out those who can't or don't conform to the expectations of society. Not only would they have already been biased against Loki because of the prophecy, but his destructive behavior as a child likely reminded them of Linlin who didn't know how to control either her own strength or her hunger pangs. Loki seems to have been more intentionally mischievous, but then again wasn't Oden also a little hellion when he was growing up? And Linlin killing Jorul, the horse's death, and his mother's death have nothing to do with him but he was the scapegoat just for being born around that time. The Elbafian child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.
Theory: what if garling gets a fenrir yokai power and his two sons stabs and shanks represent skoll and hati who chase the sun(lufffy) and moon(imu). I believe the variants of the sun gods interpretation are just due to information lost in history. Luffs is still the real and only sun god, who is all in one. Laughter, destruction (e.g. the fishman island prophecy), liberation. And we are still missing too much context to label destruction as just bad and evil here.

This is my theory
Jarul said the world has been destroyed twice before. Maybe the first time, Nika lived during a war, or maybe he and his loved ones were slaves. This makes sense because, in the present One Piece world, the people who think of Nika are mostly slaves. Nika might have "dreamt up" the Devil Fruit, (as Vegapunk said that devil fruits came into existence due to the dreams and will of ppl) because he wanted to liberate people and put smiles on everyone’s faces. He might have even named the fruit after himself. He then had to destroy his old world to create one where everyone is free and happy. and after he died, the fruit found its way to joyboy, the next suitable candidate that inherited nika's will or is the reincarnation of nika. JoyBoy grew up in peaceful times. But he was like oden, felt like a prisoner being in just one. So he went to sea to look for adventures, and was dubbed the first pirate. The 20 kingdoms then unites to take done the ancient kingdom. a kingdom which i believe nika and his friends created to over see the world so its free from wars and slavery. But it fell when joyboy got defeated some how. And joyboy's world was destroyed and recreated by the newly formed WG to the present day one piece world. The fruit then finds its way to the next suitable wielder: Luffy, who inherited nika's and joyboy's will (or maybe he's just their reincarnation). Luffy now has to destroy the current One Piece world to create the one he envisions-the world he described to Kaido.

The world being destroyed two times over makes me think of my past theory that Nahua (Aztec/Mexica) cultures are the basis for the sun gods and the ancient civilizations that worshipped them!
There are strong visual connections to the sun god lore and Nahua visual motifs (the moon and shandora)
And now, we see that the same sun god worshipped as a liberator is also the destroyer.
In Nahua culture, the Teteotl that is the sun is eventually the one who will destroy it, there have been four suns prior to this one which were destroyed by earthquakes, flooding, jaguars, etc.
One previous sun was Tlaloc (rain) but the current is Huitzilopochtli (war) which may have some influence on Elbaph's sun god

Take a closer look at that panel of King Harald, it's actually a painting on the wall of what could be the castle. The black lightning is actually tears in the painting, you can see the ornate frame and what looks like a brick wall.

I think shanks might have tricked Loki in some way or maybe made a deal with him. Unless he was just trying to bluff about his strength to Luffy, Loki thought Shanks was a coward and it wouldn't make sense for him to think like this if he lost a fight to him. This would also fit with his idealistic nature of being a warrior, and Loki seems disappointed he didn't fight Shanks 6 years ago
1: if the legend is true and the world was destroyed twice, there could be an ancient history before the ancient history of the void century. I predict a Nika flashback that will date even further back than Joyboy’s.

I don't think Loki would have any problem with that, he told Luffy to keep it a secret yes but obviously meant that he should keep it a secret from the other giants knowing that the other giants would never let Luffy free him, when he realise that the other two Luffy brought will actually help him get free Loki will get exactly what he wants. Sure Rodo will be there too and could tell the other giants but he's Namis slave now so I think he will do whatever Nami tell him to and won't ruin the secret.

i still feel like there’s multiple factions in the cover story. Obviously there’s the tobi roppo or atleast who’s who. I think the big mom pirates will show up. The tobi roppo could have taken minatomo to build his little shack and kidnapped women just for fun; but i think it makes more sense that the big mom pirates kidnapped him to fix their ship after it fell off the water fall. Then they could be kidnapping women to feed their souls to big mom so she can heal up. Oda also went out of his way to hide smoothie and the big mom pirates location during vegapunk’s message.
This got me thinking, what if Nikas fruit was divided into two parts, which are "the Freedom or liberation (luffy) and Destruction (Loki) part of Nika", and when the two meet, that's what actually cause the Beginning of Ragnarok in the onepiece world
I think the guy we saw this chapter didn't had a spear because it wasn't Joy Boy it was the 1st Nika*, "the 1st destroyer" of the world, Joy Boy was the 2nd, tho keep in mind that "destroyer" is just a title.
