I have that size pan 12X18 3” deep how do you get your frosting look so smooth. When I ice my I feel like my buttercream has air bobbles. How do you get rid of air bobbles. What kind of icing do you use Thanks Kristin
I try not to overbeat my icing so that I don't get air bubbles. I use a paddle attachment and never mix above the second level on my stand mixer. I make an ABC icing that is half high ratio shortening and half butter
@@TheSweetShoppeByBeth I have American buttercream recipe I follow from cake boss. He was Rachael Ray show. In one of his other videos he said he uses the diamond powered sugar which is finer. I used half high ratio shortening and half Land-O Lakes unsalted butter I had my mixer on low like number one. I had little tiny air bubbles
@@krisrtinkoss136 without seeing u ice the cake or the consistency of your icing it’s hard to say, but have you tried smoothing it after you scrape it with a Viva paper towel? That will help with small air bubbles and lines
Perfection..not overloaded with huge flowers which means too much frosting. This is just right.
Thank u so much!
I love those classic designs.
Hello, what size is the cake board for this half sheet cake?
The cake is a 12X18 and the board is a 19.5X14, I think.
I know this an old video, however, do you level your sheet cakes?
I do! Before I even flip them out of the cake pan, while they’re still very warm, I cut across the top and then flip them onto a cooling wrack.
Can you please share your vanilla cake recipe ???????
I will be posting some recipe tutorials soon! So keep an eye out!
@@TheSweetShoppeByBeth Yahoo !!!! thank you so much

@@krisrtinkoss136 Maybe it’s the scraper you’re using. What do u use to scrape the icing evenly and to smooth it out?
@@TheSweetShoppeByBeth I use the Wilton‘s long angle spatula and I also use a bench scraper. Thanks

Which paper did u use for scarb the cake
I use VIVA signature paper towels. You have to be using a crusting buttercream for them to work properly.
Hi! How much would you charge as an independent for a 2 half sheets?
I charge $115 for a half sheet that is fully decorated.
What size pan did you use for this cake?
That is a half sheet cake which is a 12X18
@@TheSweetShoppeByBethfor how many servings? I thought 11x15 was half a sheet.😊
@@wendymatias3237 A half sheet is a 12X18 that serves 36 party size slices but up to 50 slices if they’re wedding cake serving size.
@TheSweetShoppeByBeth thank you so much.
a little to fast for me , plus i have no idea what tips your using ?
The video was too long at regular speed, but for flowers I like to use the #104 tip and I like to write with the #4 tip. Hope that helps:)
