  • Make a Mongolian Fur hat with leathercraft patterns. Leather kit patterns and instructional video. This may also be styled in a few ways. If you're looking for other sheepskin hat patterns all together I offer several. Check my website for more.
From XXL adult sizes all the way down to toddlers. Sew by hand or on a machine. DIY beginner friendly fur Mongolian hat patterns with every measurement and stitching hole marked. Follow along with the video while you cut the pattern out, tape it to your sheepskin, trace, mark and punch the holes, then just cut out and sew. All you need is some chrome tan sheepskin. The sizing may be affected by the density and length of the sheepskins wool. With that said, using sheepskin similar to what I use in the video, the measurements will be as follows.
Extra small fits a 18" to 19.25" head
    Small fits a 19.25" to 20.75" head.
    Medium fits a 20.75" to 22" head.
    Large fits a 22" to 23.5" head.
Extra large fits a 23.5" to 25" head.
Extra Extra large fits a 25" to 26.75" head.

Does it matter on all these sheep patterns the direction of where the wool is going?

@@briansmith9734 I sometimes try to have it flowing in the same direction for the brims and stuff showing. But even then I find it more important to get the most out of each skin. I pretty much just lay it out to be the most efficient. However, like I mentioned in the video, try to have the brim parts cut from the same area so they match as far as length and density.

I sell the pattern on my website and in my Etsy shop. I actually just listed a bunch of items I'm selling to raise money for a friend of mine. This hat just happens to be in there.

How bad will i hurt my industrial if I try to sew this on the machine instead of by hand

Shouldn't be bad at all. You'll have the wool sandwiched in between while running it through. You could trim back the wool more to make it easier. However, I would check the owners manual or look online before you do anything.
