Omg 😂 when you said in the beginning that the goat was named Walter, I busted a gut 😂😂 my husband's name is Walter and I thought yeah, we'll, it fits! Then at the end with Walter Jr...... my husband actually is a Walter Jr!!!
I also added the washi to my cart from your link so they'll know you sent me 😊 and I'm stealing the quote from Walter's page because that's epic.

thank you so much for sharing this! I really want to give it a try, I think it will help me! I suffer from depression, PTSD, and other mental health and health issues, but anxiety is the biggest one, especially, as you said, from dinnertime to bedtime. I live alone too and it's so hard after 5pm. I used to make "junk journals" about 10 years ago, but then I never used them because they were too pretty. This is a good compromise. I still have a ton of scrapbook paper, and plenty of pictures and odds and ends to fill it, but it's going to take me awhile to afford the other stuff I'd like to have for it...the rings and laminator and pages! What a beautiful idea though!

I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. My husband passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago and I know that those "bewitching hours" can be difficult to relax into. That was the time of day I spent most with my husband - dinner and relaxing together after work. Now, I feel anxiety creeping up as dinner approaches until I fall asleep. I think having a happy place of distraction is always beneficial and I'm glad you found something that worked to help soothe you. Watching your videos is often a place I turn to help calm my own anxiety down. :)

Hello , Have not got into the flip part yet but I have to comment. you keep saying it has no purpose but you are wrong. It brings you joy, keeps you busy, clams your mind. I'd say that's one hell of a purpose. Mental health is very important. I have a personal rings I carry around with me everywhere and it too is for my mental health. It helps me keep hands busy ( bad skin issues, so no poking and picking ) plus my mind. Man my mind can sure ruin a good day. Im glad you jumped in and said f it I'm doing this for me!!

I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling with your job. I hope you find something you enjoy. We've had so much organizational change where I work and I think I have an ulcer because of it. As for my planner, I decided to do a complete reset. I'm using a passport-sized horizontal weekly booklet from Sterling Ink paired with a passport sized grid notebook to do plain-jane daily notes pages. No stickers, no fancy layouts, just jot down what I need to do each day and then cross it off. It's helping me manage the chaos. I've committed to using these until I finish them.

Yes! Adult fidget spinner. Love that! I also have picked at my cuticles and hang nails since I was a child. Sometimes I would make them so sore that I had to put bandaids on them. I think the reason that some many of us love you is because you are so real! You are like a friend that comes to visit every week and we have great conversations about life and planning. I wish nothing but the best for you in the new chapter of your life for which the page has not turned yet!

I lost my parents in 2021 and then my husband had a huge health crisis the same year. I dealt with all of it at that time. My circle is dismissive of mental health issues. All of a sudden i wudbhave panic and anxiety attacks. I couldnt breathe several er trips later, i understood it was panic attack. I take homeopathic medicines. Even now I do get anxiety. At least I know what it is Hang in there Robin. Sending you prayers. I have also leaned on my hobby to heal.❤ Lovely share.

Catherine from Georgia Here! Thank you and Bless You Miss Robin. I have a Franklin Covey Compact I am going to turn into a * Just For Fun Book* like you suggest. I agree with the keep hands busy in the evenings is helpful. I started playing in a Junk Journal and it helped me drop 50pounds by not eating after supper. You might try to massage BACITRACIN w Zinc into cuticle/living skin area of your fingernails. Neosporin can cause allergic reactions. You may be allergic to GEL Nails? I like Anna on Salon Life for natural nail care information. I enjoy your Flip Thru programs very much and Thanks for all you do.

Robin, its so nice to meet you. Thank you for opening up about your story. I believe everyone has a certain level of anxiety and their own ways of dealing with it. I can certainly hear the joy as you flip through your planner. Don’t think that you are not artistic, your planner is an expression of yourself which is the very root of what art is! You are a beautiful person and you will find sustainable work soon. I just left a job due to high anxiety. It is impossible to deal with anxiety when it keeps building. Now - you got me wanting to pull out my ring binder and crank the ol’ brain for ideas….shame on you! 😂. I may have to adopt your ideas and add my own touch. Thank you so much for sharing your life and your planner! God bless you. ❤🙏

I love this discussion. I’m a brown, 46 year old woman that is one of the first in my family to seek mental health help for what was formally diagnosed as CPTSD. The things my family has “normalized” in terms of symptoms is all too real in many Latin homes, yet many struggle without considering that it’s more because of stigma . I love seeing this kind of open discussion about mental health because I’m positive most people struggle with some form of it at some point. The more we know what the symptoms look like, the more likely people will get much needed help for proper management.

I LOVE THE "ADULT FIDGET SPINNER" IDEA! I have one and didn't realize it. I don't like chunky planners and journals, so I keep a travel notebook for ephemera and times I just want to "play" with stamps, stickers, and washi tape. I was a bit embarrassed by that because it seemed childish. So, thank you for legitimizing my play journal.

I've been thinking of doing something like this with my extra Happy Planner pages but my ADHD (and lack of enough spoons) has kept putting it off. I'm so glad it's helping you!

OMG I pretty much did the same thing! I am using Hobonichi weeks and Sterling Ink B6 for 2024, and I terribly missed my rings. I retired last year, so I didn’t see the point of using my rings. But I put a personal rings together anyway (with what I already have). It makes me so happy even though it doesn’t have a purpose. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does this. BTW, love your videos!

I love love love this video! Thank you for sharing! It is so inspiring. And i love the term "adult fidget spinner". I think my love for stickers and the peace they bring me is connected to my childhood Color Forms.❤❤😊 Thanks for always being honest and open. It is so appreciated as we are all in the same boat at some point. Please keep sharing the flip throughs.

I just pulled out my rings this week and had fun going through it. Really is fun looking at meaningful mementos we save as we go. Loved this video🥳

I never had anxiety either until after I went through menopause, which my doctor said can often trigger anxiety in women who have never had issues before. I, too, love Nessie's Rings and all the fun "pretties" she puts in hers! What a great idea! I may have to build one using one of my old disc-bound set-ups with a pretty cover!

Just to add something to think about - as you look around my age, I wanted to bring up that a sudden ramp up of anxiety can be part of perimenopause and menopause. As this is something I'm starting to study for my own benefit, it's amazing the number of symptoms besides hot flashes that can be linked to that change in life. I highly recommend any women in our age group look into and study everything involved with that process, it's eye opening.

I went through all that at about 42 and never had any issues. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones.
