  • I should have named this series restoration of a 49 Chevy on a shoestring budget, LOL.
    With the clip and engine pulled theres all sorts of great access to address some regular service items as well as inspection and repair of any problems that aren't normally visible. In this segment I'm using a very stout engine stand/dolly I built from from plans I got from the internet site www.stovebolt.com to mount the engine so I can remove needed parts for reuse on the 235. Service of the Knee action shocks and steering gearbox is also discussed.
    Removal of the 216's bellhousing will be covered in the upcoming Part 6.
