Will Kydex Holsters Scratch Your Gun
The short answer is no.
Kydex holsters may wear your gun finish over long periods of time.
A gun is a tool and toold do get scratched with
regular use.
Take a look at the tools in your toolbox, you will see scratches on the tools you use a lot.
Even leather holsters will cause wear.
However, if you have a gun that is more of a "safe queen" and you want to preserve its pristine condition,
it may be best to avoid holstering and carrying it regularly.

I personally don't care, I carry all of my guns so they will all eventually wear but they are just tools.
So the answer is: Yes Kydex will wear the finish from your gun in areas. thanks for pointing that out. I won't holstering my Nighthawk in thermoformed plastic.
As an Engineer that works with plastic I would not have any firearm that you love near this cheap crap.
Even leather will wear the finish. I have been carrying with kydex holsters for years and the wear is very minimal but I don't have any scratches on the finish. I also carry my guns every day and just like all my other tools they do get scratched.
As a Design Engineer in thermoforming packaging for over 25 years I know how plastics react. "Retention screws yuck"
A high quality soft lined leather holster can last for years. I'm not trying argue with you . just letting others know. And please do respond there's no need for it. @@progun45

You must have a shitty holster. None of my guns are scratched.
@progun45 worse part it's a brand new holster from We the People that arrived yesterday lol. But I think it's more the gun starting to see Sig isn't very good at the gun finish.
