I just want to say I am so thankful for this channel and the podcast!!! Bought my first Japanese Maple last weekend, and I’m patiently waiting to plant it until I feel like I “know enough” to put it in the ground! She’s a Bloodgood! A baby bloodgood! Has a graft, so she’s legit. Thank you for answering my question on another video. Will keep watching…I’m slowly getting sucked in to the JM world!!!!
I cannot explain to you how excited I am to place my first Mr. Maple order. I go to sleep dreaming about the special trees I have in my cart. Thank you for all the INFORMATION and INSPIRATION 🍁
This is only my second year gardening. I've always known about Japanese Maples- the basics: Bloodgood, Crimson Queen, Tamukeyama, Emporer One. But I just recently learned there are thousands THANKS TO Y'ALL! Thank you guys so much. I'm getting obsessed. Love it.
What could cause all my leaves to turn brown and die off within a day or 2? Wasnt an abnormally hot day and they had been getting watered every few days. Had it happen to 2 seperate trees in different containers that were about 5 feet away from each other.
@MrMapleShow alright. They were purchased this year from Walmart, where they had been outside in the sun with no protection for probably a month before I bought them. I dont have much shade where I live, unfortunately, but put them in the most shaded spot. Might try to build some artificial shade covering then get an order from you guys
@MrMapleShow though I should say, the leaves don't feel "crispy" or dried out, they feel like they lost all structure that they had, more flimsy feeling, if that would change what you think may have happened
I have a fire glow I got from you guys this year and I potted it. It's getting 6 to 8 hours full sun here in Pittsburgh pa but it still has browning leaves and leaves with brown spots, I have a red dragon that came the same time same situation it has leaves probably half that have browned while the other half are perfect. I'm kinda struggling with what is happening
Pots can be tricky in full sun. I try to keep Japanese maples in pots in mostly shade if I can. It maybe to wet but heat spikes can also be an issue on pots
Mr Maple. Please help. I bought a young blood sapling. She was doing beautifully but recently she's limping. It's like her back has bent over and young leaves turning green. Almost wilting. I've checked the roots, they're lovely, I've now reported and fed. She's in dappled hot sunshine. I'm in UK so a lot of rain usually. I would love to save her. Please help.

Hi, I'd like to know how much sun Westonbirt Orange is best?
It should be ok in sun up to zone 8

Make sure the containers are in shade. Heat shock can cause this. Sometimes the roots are larger in the pot than previous years

I'm guessing over watering but I really put effort into good drainage no plate elevated pots multiple drain holes so I'm really not sure

@MrMapleShow interesting im going to shade them and see what happens, most are getting planted I just didn't want to plant them in this heat
How wide does Beijing Gold gingko grow? I find only height of 15 feet. Thank you
The biggest I’ve seen was 12 ft wide. It was like 40 years old
