I once spent a ton of effort editing this and it did remain one of my favorite gradence edit till this day.

PLOT:
Percival had seen lots of wars, had fought in the war, had thought that he had always prepared for the worst. But this time, he did not see it coming.
It turned out that he was the only one who sympathized Tina on her demotion, and was willing to give a second listen to the Second Salem case.
That was his first time meeting Credence Barebone. The poor young man was bought into MACUSA as a witness and his memory would be cleared, along with the rest of the No-Majs.
However, the memory modification charm somehow didn’t work on Credence. Percival spotted him standing in front of the Woolworth building holding those anti-magic leaflets, five days in a role, peeking at him.
After some digging, Percival soon realized that Credence has magical ancestry and was unfortunately abandoned and raised by No-Majs. It didn’t take him long to make up his mind to help Credence, which included regular check up and healing. Percival knew that this was only be a temporary solution. He had to get Credence out of the Second Salem.
The tension between No-Majs and the wizards were getting worse and worse as days went by, and bad news came in every hour from Europe. Grindelwald’s followers spread like unstoppable disease. Percival could not find a suitable time to bring Credence’s case up and as the situation worsened it seemed that Credence may even be safer with the Second Salem for now.
The fatal news soon came, the Dark Wizard left Europe and was spotted north of New York state. And as the Director of Magical Security, Percival lead the hunt.
They tracked Grindelwald down into the forest, and to the deserted old mansion, and they walked right into the deadly trap. None of Percival’s Auror survived.
If Percival had asked himself: What’s the most horrific moment in his life?
It wasn’t that he had been in the war, that he had seen death, had seen his men lie lifeless beside him. It wasn’t that he’d endured severe torture and could not break free.
It was when Grindelwald turned into him right in front of his face, and at that exact moment, he knew everything he’d ever build would soon crumble into dust.

Voice Overs:
Therapist: It's complicated being a survivor. Sometimes you have to place your faith in magic, or believe the things that you know are not true if you want to continue.
Seraphina: Ms Goldstein. This could mean exposure.
Percival: Madame President.
Seraphina: They all had to be obliviated.
Tina: Yes. Madame President. But…
Seraphina: You are no longer an Auror, Goldstein.
Percival: Minor incident may I take it? Alright I will be downstair shortly.
Tina: His name is Credence. His mother beats him.
Percival: And she was the No-Maj you attacked?
Tina: I went for her in front of a meeting of her crazy followers.
Percival: Tina.
Mary Lou Barebone: We have to fight together for the sake of our children, for the sake of tomorrow!
Tina: She beats all those kids she adopted, but she seems to hate him the most.
Credence: Do you think I’m a freak?
Percival: No. I think you are a very special young man.
Percival: You are a wizard, Credence. You have magical ancestry.
Grindelwald: I really do have visions you know. I can see it as clear as day.
Therapist: I’ve always known. I’ve always know since the first time I heard his name and saw your face.
Therapist: What I’m trying to say to you is that, you are not as tough as you think you are. And you can not carry this on forever.
Credence: Help me.
Percival: I wanted to take him home. I really did.
Percival: I kept saying… kept saying… “Don’t worry, I’m… I’m taking you with me. I’m taking you home.”
Percival: Bar the area.
Grindelwald: Avada Kedavra.
Percival: Credence.
Credence: Mr. Graves.

I cannot describe how much I love this video 😭 It makes me feel like this is actually the untold story of Gradence, and it's absolutely heartbreaking to know how it ended (at least on the part of Credence) 😭 The music definitely takes the plot to another level by insistently pushing the emotions to the climax toward the end, so great choice of music! Really thank you for sharing this video with us 😔

After all these years, I'm still not over the fact that Grindelwald stoles Percy's face and nobody notices.
This video is essentially my headcanon of fbawtft prequel aka the unfortunate life of Percival Graves, sprinkled with fleeting moments of happiness, the rest is just pure tragic, really.
It holds a very special place in my heart. xx
