As you know Al, I really rate this! Uncomplicated pleasure for the bourbon cask lovers out there… with some manzanilla goodness thrown into the mix. Yum yum! The distillery makes a thing about being a coastal speyside… which is an interesting angle… but let’s see what they do next !
Nice, I have to try to get my hands on this bottle. It was avilable in Sweden a while ago, but I missed it. I bought a bottle of the Portsoy, and half way down I came to tje conclusion that I needed a backup bottle...it's a really good dram. Cheers
I love Sandend. A bottle of sunshine. Only problem is it’s about $80 here. Compass Box Orchard House is similar and cheaper but not as classy looking as Sandend.
Thanks for reviewing Alan An under the radar distillery for me indeed. Can't remember I've tried a Glenglassaugh and if so it's been a long time ago or (and?) it appears to be kinda forgettable. Slàinte mhath
Sad end is when one records a video and then realises upon playback that a wee slip of the tongue has... nnnnnnn! But a nice recovery, Alan.😉 I've only had a wee shop sample of the three Glenglassaugh current releases but I too thought the Sandend was the most interesting. Not quite compelling, but pleasing.
Nice but not complex or exceptional! Great thoughts Alan! I'm into moderation so I drink little but stick to what I love the most! Peat! I much prefer Bourbon casks these days. I'm absolutely fine with NAS scotch! I'm getting away from sweeter scotch whisky!
I had a bottle of each three of the old label and for me they were ok, nothing to go crazy about. Torfa the peated one went flat real quick so I'm curious to see how the new one Portsoy would fare. I tried the new range over the weekend and my thoughts were about the same, they're ok. This one was too sweet for me but the Portsoy felt a bit more balanced than the Torfa. Cheers Alan!

Tried 2 expressions already. Not bad. Nice review as always mate. Time for a live stream. I do miss them. Cheers

Not sure how under the radar this one is, as it won Whisky Advocates number 1 offering of 2023! Great video and tasting notes
Thanks for reviewing Alan

You seem less enthusiastic about this one than 87, unless that isn't the whisky's fault. Hope you and yours are doing well.
No was just knackered Andy, i recorded 4 videos in that session fella...business as usual soon fella...😜🥃

This one was a solid dram for me fella....thanks for dropping in...
I've got my eyes on a Glenglassaugh but from an independent bottler, just because of the transparency regarding chill filtration and colour.
