Advice you to take engine protection warranty/cover. And overall extended warranty as much as possible. DSG gearboxes are very unreliable. Thank me later 👍
I am also facing the same issue with my car. It downshifts to first gear whenever there's a bumpy road and holds on till higher rpm until it shifts to second gear. I got my car in June last year just after the launch. I guess this is a common issue with all DQ200 cars.
Hello Bhai, 1st issue mere wali GT me nahi hai. I got the first BS6 Stage II car. Ye March, 2023 manufactured hai. 2nd Issue to abhi tak nahi aaya, its been 1 month and more than 1350 KM driven. Pata nahi bhavishya me kya hoga. Apka sound to aisa lag raha hai ki koi train ruk rahi ho.
Even i am facing the same issue with gear shifts and when this happens i can also listen to some sound (like 2 metal objects hitting each other) along with jerks
Brake sound might be because of defective pads by the manufacturer i had same issue in another car and it i changed the brand of the pads, it was alright no noise from the brakes at all
I m owning vento from last 8 years and I drive it 2.5 lac km till so I think there's issue in DSG gearbox bcoz my car generally sifts to 2nd gear above 15 km speed and your's is siftting on 7km speed so definitely there's problem and as there's no issue in breakpad but your disc is damaged so you can change it and my be there's some hard dust on disc or pad which can be produce noice so once wash your can with pressure pump ....thank you
I have a 1.5 TSI GT virtus, I have been facing the issue of downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear on bumpy roads. Whatever the service centre mechanic says, I find it very irritating and so I avoid taking it on bad roads. I rather find the TC of my Ciaz working wonders in bad roads, its a breeze to drive on bad roads. The ride on the Virtus is pretty stiff and in just 3000 kms on the Odometer I can hear noises coming from the rear suspension and the car panels making squeaky noise (don’t know what build quality the company boasts of). I have raised these issues with the Gurgaon service centre ti which they say that everything is ok. Iam surprised and would say that the body of my Maruti Ciaz which has run 20000kms makes less noise on bad roads than my 3000km Virtus. It is a pain to drive on bad roads.
Suspensions of the Virtus are way too stiff, so it will make noises even when a slight pothole is there. This will benefit you at high speeds for sure but yes, gets irritating in traffic conditions. Also DSG is jerky at low speeds which is normal, You gotta get used to it and talking about the interior quality, Yes it is a let down from VW. Older Skoda/VW cars had extremely good interior quality and now they just messed it up
I am not facing such loud whistling noise while creeping at low speeds, yeah in reverse gear I face it but recently ive started to hear a small whistling noise when car comes to a stop, i feel its the brakes only, it can be heard in this video too if heard carefully at 4:54
Looks like the first issue is a result of AI and ML based adaptation of car. May be it should go away if you are not driving over cautiously only to observe the issue. The second issue is more like irritation but not really an issue, it happens only at very specific low speeds, of course it's unexpected but I think it is not a very major concern.
I am a volkswagen owner since 2012 polo but frankly speaking i did not like taigun and virtus quality They are not vfm . I can recommend kodiaq or tiguan (german built).
Vw is bullshitting. Go to the sc & tell them to do a gear box calibration which essentially is mapping of gear box & that should fix it. You need to be stern about it else they will again make a story
This is dq200 nature.. if it feels any friction or elevation on road it will down shit..this also happens in higher gears..but we don't feel it... as the torque is high on 1st and 2nd gear ..u feel it... even vento tsi 1.2 gear box has the same nature... in time it reduces however its more like u getting use to it...than anything else... try using heavy foot on acceptor it will not happen much... light foot tends to show this nature of dq200... this happens so that u never have loss of power and for the safety of the gear boxnly clutch
Bhai dekh ek bat bolunga chalane ka maza VW/skoda ki gadi me hai. Ha 1% risk hai ki is tarah k defect na dikhe... waise ye solvable hain.. ek aur chiz agar automatic bahut zaruri nahi hai to manual lele mere pas manual hai 1 bhi dikkat nahi hai.

Bro honestly, the build quality has decreased if we compare it to the previous generation VW/Skoda cars. Yeah I can say still it is better than it's rivals for sure but coming from a past VW Owner, The quality offered on this car which costs 20L isn't acceptable.
Yes, as I said the exterior build quality is still the best in segment, Verna got 5 stars but with an "unstable body shell". Handling and ride quality is also better as compared to it's rivals, however VW 2.0 cars are a bit down at the same time@@prakki1434

2nd se 1st me isliye shift krra hai taki additional power mil sake kyunki tera gadi ka engine capacity kam hai..isme koi issue nahi h..yeh tera gadi ka nature hai ..There's an old saying- There is no replacement for displacement. Chahe kitna bhi powerful kyu na ho TSI engine, akhir hai toh yeh sirf 1L hi na..1.5L virtus m aesa koi issues nahi h..aur raha baat vo awaz ka toh vo tumhara brakes se ara h..its normal..vw skoda are known for their unreliability..I am skoda user since many years😅
Thanks for your suggestion brother but it’s virtus GT 1.5 only not the 1 ltr. And for breaks i am not getting time to visit service centre otherwise will get it replaced with new disc roaters and the new breakpads under the warranty definitely
@@Beniwal17 oh..if it's downshifting agressively in 1.5L then i think that there's some glitch in the gearbox..I own skoda Octavia dsg and theres no such issue, so i think you should get it checked..And i think there's some problem with your brske pads. Even my Octavia's breakpads give up frequently..Btw i am planning to buy the virtus 1.5 in the near future so i would stay connected with your channel to know more about virtus..
Hi, I let the car roll in 2nd gear when i anticipate the speed breakers. let it exit the breaker and then lightly accelerate to match the current rpm and then carry on. this is the only way to make peace with it. I am facing infotainment issues. my screen does not boot up. there is green squiggly fuzz when i engage reverse and touch is not registered after the car is parked under the sun. I am facing brake retardation as well. my GT has done 10500km and i have to press the brake pedal half way and further more to stop which in contrary was the case before. it would brake very effectively with a feather touch. Is anyone else here also facing a lot of rattle from the doors and weather seal noises? it feels like a cheap old car.
The rattles indeed exist, I got my GT in April 2023. Yesterday I went to the SC for a software update fix for one touch window, After returning back home with my car, I noticed that DSG acted weird, downshifts were jerky, D2 to D1 downshift made a huge clunk noise with a jerk. Today morning when I drove it, It got even worse, the shifts were jerky, it felt like the clutch is slipping, Whenever i came to a stop, clunk sound came up. Note that no DSG issues were there before the software update and this only started after the software update was completed.

This shifting from 2nd to 1st gear while on potholes or bad road is normal and a desired behaviour of the Gearbox.

Minimum average i got 7.5 kmpl
Maximum is 9.4 kmpl during traffic conditions

1.0 torque converter stays at d2 if ur not throttling n this jerks will not feel under u put in Sport mode u feel jerks in downshift
