Well summarized, this means in the Ugandan market 1 local bird is worth 120K for 4 trays of eggs on average and hen sale While A layer bird is worth 140 k including 12 trays and it's sale... Maybe i should consider layers than duo purpose hens
Thanks madam, I want start rearing local birds but do you do brooding .And if you do I want 500 birds to start with. I would like also to know the cost each bird .thanks for your education.
Thanks my switness i have passion for those local birds. Is it possible to visit and see and learn from you. I love your channel being a woman begginer who stopped working for others i get alot of inspiration. I have following you from accountant to a big farmer. While thumbs up woman.
My birds started laying for 10 days now but I have only 5% that is 11 to 12 eggs maximum. Am afraid now. I please want to ask if the laying will increase with time or am in trouble. Please help me
Anyone advocating for local birds is missing something. People are keeping 100,000 layer birds and they have market for thier eggs. Can u keep 100,000 local birds and you get market
It depends on how you market your products. I don't think you would have known kavella farm if she didn't have a UA-cam page. There's always market as long as you are passionate about something as she always says
If your local birds take 6 months without laying, then you are doing something wrong dear, my locals laid their first eggs at 4 months and 1 week, teach right please
If you want to talk about local birds, kindly talk about them in a business sense, we keep local birds in the same exact way you rear layers, we vaccinate, feed them and keep them indoors, and they lay everyday cos we don't give them eggs to brood that's why you mentioned the incubators in the beginning......local birds are the only real deal if you manage them right, not the village way, thanks
