@@vladmatei1958 As someone who grew up playing SC/BW with the utter dominance of Korean players ( loved to watch them still.) It's great to see some more international representatives such as Reynor/Clem/Maxpax/Serral succeeding to the top.
i have to say the new picture of serral gives a totally different vibe than before; with the fedora, he was smiling and cheering - which is more in line with his actual personality. the "portrait-look" with the more serious face and focussed eyes makes him look way more like "the finnisher" - the one player left to beat after you got over the better player, the kid, the man - the myth and the final boss...
Winter, how did it feel to go up against Serral in The Finals? Have you ever imagined you'd be in a finals of a Starctaft 2 related turnament vs the GOAT?
For me, creep should work like terran sensor towers. Just give you warnings when units enters into it, instead of full vision. Just thinking about creep like biomass on the ground that is connected to all other zerg stuff, it senses something "disturbing it" and signals the zerg, but having vision of it? That is to much for me
When this videos pop up on my feed, i know its time to go in my bad and fall asleep watching. Keep up dude, hanevt played 1 match in starcraft 2 in my life but damn i love this kind of games. Sad that c&c are practilcly dead but starcraft is still going strong
Game 1: The Finnisher's masterful swerve into mutas to get some results, then swerving back out to have a beefy ground army to hold against the toss ground, then back into mutas to keep up that pressure....you gotta hand it to him, though I hate to see one person dominate the game so thoroughly, you gotta give a salute. (and maybe whine a little for some kind of buff or nerf to something :P)
This reminds me of when they buffed the phoenix build time and zergs at first thought you couldn't go muta anymore, then they realized they're still really good and in like a random State of the Game or something, InControl said "oh you can go mutas, you can go mutas REAL GOOD!"
But Byun isn't very good though? He won worlds because the reapers were OP and the maps were Terran favored. After the patches, he didn't win anything significant after that. Serral's rise was partly due to Zerg OPness, winfestors and BLs, the infested Terrans, etc. But through years of nerfs, Serral is still the top and getting even stronger.
@@N0noy1989You high on copium or something? What made him famous were his tunneling claws roach play (which he also got nerfed because of how good he was at it), the infestor play came in later.
Honestly wouldnt really affect zerg that much except obviously mutas. U pretty much wouldnt see air at all anymore for the other races. Carriers, libs, phoenix would be basically impossible to use
@@wmzer0mw Liberators would still be the same. Almost everyone don't like stacking up their units, especially terrans. Storms, widowmines and Corrosive biles are indirectly nerfed when Anti air. Only the Tankier Airs like Carriers, Battle Cruiser and Corrupters actually get affected with their tanking capability. Phoenixes just works like Cyclone in the air now.
I’m kind of new to watching StarCraft, so I’ve been wondering one thing. Can the same faction fight each other? Every match I’ve seen has been one faction vs. the other, but for example what if two Top Zerg players made it to the Finals of a tourney??
Skillous gets baited to walking into a massive concave, from the low ground, against an army of ling bane ravager, the army with no armored units, with mass stalkers. Winter commented that Skillous' army value being higher, but then again, Stalkers is just overpriced and die to everything.
I think Skillous was just already desperate and not thinking straight. Serral had amazing multi-prong harass with roaches (I didn't even know it's possible for Z, jeez), he sniped the third and the fourth multiple times in a row, he was at hive tech, so lurkers just around the corner... So imo Skillous felt distraught and really far behind. It's never easy to face the GOAT mentally, but even more so if you're only starting to face the best opponents in the world and don't have decent/big wins under the belt to prop up your confidence. Still mad props to Skillous, he's doing great. I love to see him play, and I hope he gets even better with time ^⁶
old father time? I mean, he absolutely dismantled Maru in those finals. and Korean Terrans are so good, I still have traumatic memories of watching SC2 as a Z fan before Life, Serral and the like. man, how many times I was rooting for Jaedong only for him to get slaughtered! I think Clem is someone to look out for though. he seemed invincible just before IEM this year. he even knocked out Serral during ESL Masters Winter 23. if he can recapture what he had there, he might be the world champ this year.
You are cute, funny (except those unnecessary "ehem"s ), witty and intelligent. You could be the host of a TV show or a news channel. I suggest you to start trying something new. These things take time, and I guess you will be ready for your own something in a more serious network by the time you're 35. Gl hf.
Congratulations on your second-place in Rank Roulette. No shame losing to Serral.
I lost to Serral by 1 >
Serral my only favorite SC2 player, but he should be banned from this channel. How dare he winning in the very last round? :p

@@Preema24Agreed. I love the Koreans but just having someone else be dominant for a while really shakes things up
maybe the best result winter got out of a 'professional tournament environment' vs. serral XD
“He cancelled it so late it could have been StarCraft: Ghost” 😂😂😂
He is such a good caster
Amazing talent for wording!! 😂😂
That line is genius but also hurt so bad.

your mean like a secret character? i'd say the newer one is what you would see on a vintage Victorian painting. js
6:40 Serral snipes an observer with corrosive bile, pretty neat
Thank God! I didn't realise how much i enjoy this your casts winter when there was no video yesterday!!!
19:50 serral find time to make an giant arrow with overloads lol
The overlords just rallied out of the hatches from 3 directions. I dont think it was intentional, heh.
LingMuta underrated since BW - greetings from the `90s
muta ling bling was a thing for a while in LotV too. It was just not THE thing.
I get stressed just watching people play vs Serral. Can't imagine actually having to play vs him.
3:10 You've outdone yourself with your pre-order and artwork analogies LOL!
That split at the end by Serral to engage SK's army in 3 directions was absolutely insane.. Serral pls teach me
man, this guys' comedic tangents and one liners are gold, glad I stumbled onto this content!

IRRC, they tried to implement that at some point, but it caused issues, especially with flying units.
Skillous walked himself right into an ambush on the low ground...
Just wow, Serral was savage. 😅
Serral is a husband of Kerrigan
That surround at the end... amazing. Serral OP, love watching him play
the anti-spoiler game is really a clutch invention by you... I've always loved it.
Thank You for the content Evan Ballnick!
I love how Serral's card doesn't give many real physical buffs.
that game 1 is crazy. always love seeing pros do goofy stuff like that

The mutas vs the scv cc and refine that lil clip was epic
Astrea really has something against building phoenixes lol
as one of the players that lost to Serral, Winter's casting is highly entertaining

Serral is a monster. Zerg will just be constantly nerfed while he is active
I’ve been drinking and can’t help but say this is by far my favorite streamer/youtuber
No one can match his micro management skills ❤
That's what you ultra micromanaging
That last game even I could sense that trap

Muta switch meta zvp and zvt was the most hype
angrycoach with Serral is a real cool thing to arrange, but might end up silly? like, Serral's *deal* is "just do everything right, then it's fine"
Winter hit me with that best of 3 in beginning of video had me confused 😂
Serral the goat 🐐 👑
Winter, how does it feel to loose to Serral in a final?

Serral the Finisher? Nah bro, Serral the Mootah Farmer. 😂
oooof those last few fights were just nassssssty
I love Mootalisks ❤️
Surely the Wizard of Oz meme has the Protoss and Terran switched...
17:32 cant help himself

I'm still laughing at the teabagging observer in game 1
Thanks for the cast, Winter. Put Jimmy on camera!

Thanks winter!

Game 1 🔥
oh yeah!
serral vs astrea plus
Haven’t even watched yet but I’m assuming Serral 2-0’s him 😂
havent you posted about this game already? having a huge deja-vu

You just wanted to see someone else get crushed by Serral.
I'd swear we should be over 1300 by now...
🤣🤣🤣Undermind ..... borrowed units have 50% more vision 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder how different things would be if air units couldn’t stack and instead had collision like ground units.
