Willy, you are wearing bike shoes. You can tell because it has the waffle pattern on the sole. These little holes are for the grippy nubs on bike peddles, and they are what define a bike shoe as a bike shoe. Like you said, skate shoes come in different thicknesses. So do bike shoes. What defines the two, is the design on the sole. One is for flicking and digging the foot into grip tape and the other is for catching bike peddles. Bike shoes do tend to have more padding though, especially on the sides
About bar height... Are you mesuring the bar (vs pocket) when you're feet are on the deck or on the ground? I'm 5'-10.5" and wandering what bar lenght should I buy (I have right now the stock 24" bar but it feel short). Thanks. PS: Really like both of you guys. You are very good (natural) in front of the lense. And not that bad on a scooter too... :)
Tip for turning when on a scooter: lean your weight back and push your weight to the inside of the corner so you can turn tighter with it your weight all on your front wheel.
My bars are a little above my waistline and about 22in wide as well I think and I have a 19.5 deck I’m 5’3. I can’t barspin because my bars are too long lol 😂 only things I have managed to do are grinds, manuals, and 180s. I hate it rolling up to a park and scooter kids be like “do a barspin”.
Can you barspin now lol. My bars a bit taller than my waist but i can still bar. If your transferring from a shorter scooter it taked a while to get used to
Question... your 6ft4... how do you drop into a half pipe... (balance) lets say 4ft to 5 ft high ramp... im 6ft2 and am having real trouble doing this... I feel so off balance doing it... thanks
put your hand up if you've ever bought chromoly bars that were too thick for your compression yet you insisted that all you needed was a thinner shim...
I’m confused… do you guys realize not all scooters handlebars can be adjusted? So when my kid finds THE scooter he really wants, do we get it and just CUT the handlebars down an inch or 2 just in case they are too tall? Scooter manufacturers need to step up and make their scooters with adjustable bars, otherwise we have to hack and cut away. I think these scooter manufacturers do this on purpose (non-adjustable bars) just to get is to buys more scooters. And if thats true, what a lame scam. Bar height sounds like a KEY/CRITICAL aspect to dial into but how do we dial in? 1) get a scooter having adjustable bars 2) get a scooter and CUT to fit (but not too much obviously… you can lower but never raisem if you cut) or 3) buy multiple scooters having different bar heights, which is probably what the scooter manufacturing industry wants us to do, hence few scooters being made with adjustable bars. What do you guys think? Have you ever CUT your bars to lower them?
Adjustable bars add unnecessary weight, are unreliable and make the bar very dangerous in a freestyle setting due to the extra components and runs the risk for more failure of parts. I personally cut every single bar that I’ve ever owned. It’s the same process with bike bars as well. People cut those to size very regularly. The industry is not asking or scamming people to buy multiple scooters. Honestly it’s even super rare for a pro rider to have multiple scooters to switch between. The best way to start figuring out what size is best. Is to go to a local scooter shop and try out some of the completes. They come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Find the scooter that suited best. Ride it and then as time goes on you may want to upgrade the deck or bars to a bigger or even a smaller bar.
@@undialed hmm i dont buy it. If engineered properly, the added wgt for adjustable bars wouldnt be noticable and safety wouldnt be a factor. If its considered “normal” to cut bars if they seem a bit too tall, thats cool and thats what we’ll do! Thanks for clarifying but I still think someone out there could make a safe, non-intrusive adjustable, solid, bar. It cant be that difficult for these manufacturers to come up with something but I bet its not “cost effective” for them. They’d just rather have us buy different bars with diff sizes.
@@Ivee. i haven't received my Fuzion scooter yet but it looks like the bar goes into a "tube" for mounting. If you CUT say, 1-2 inches, then insert, should be fine. However, suppose I wanted that height ADDED back. Could I just first insert the 1-2 inch piece into the tube, THEN insert the bars? I'm just guessing that should work, assuming the tubing firmly secures that main bar in place.
@@supercommando440 The bar won't be one solid piece. Double check your cutting. I usually buy 1 - 2 different bars and switch them out for whatever I'm trying to do.
Some people think it’s a good idea to practice turning and getting comfortable riding at parks wich pisses me off as they think they can ride up and down a risk or the bottom of the bowl 😕anyone who does this I don’t like you

I’ve scootered for 2 or 3 years now and I can almost board back lip but not tailwhip, personally I like grinds better than air tricks.
The little features I should start riding on my street is avoiding the cars going 45 mph
