Doug. Great video on Ralph Terry. You went into nice description of his highs and lows with his career and showed nice video footage and pictures. Fantastic his family made Larned home and still to this day. Enjoyed and hope you have a great Labor Day Weekend.
I remember the ‘60 game so vividly. ‘had just walked home from school in the 4th grade and cut on the old black and white a little before the historic ending. Ralph Terry’s name stayed with me prompting me to follow him mainly through the box scores in our home town newspaper. There’s an inspiring lesson in learning what you can when things don’t go your way and keeping your confidence that you’re going to give it your best come what may. It certainly worked for him.
11th like Doug! Super video for Ralph. A tribute to a great player that epitomizes the greatest attribute of life: never give up. Redemption is just around the corner.
@@The_Cincinnati_Kid appreciate that CK. Sports have so many stories like Ralph’s, his resonated with me. Not because my life is anything like his of course but because it’s relatable on many levels.
Wonderful video, Doug. You truly captured the agony and ecstasy of Ralph Terry’s baseball highlights. Really enjoyed the history lesson you provided. Well done!
Mrs. Diaz really enjoyed this episode ❤ She wanted me to let you know! Great video, Doug! I just learned about Ralph Terry and his failures on the biggest stage, and ultimately, his triumph two years later. Thanks for sharing, Doug!
@@unc23sports thank you both, that means a lot to me. I’m glad I was able to share just a small portion of his story. He’s lead a fulfilling life & impacted a lot of people just by being himself. Hope you and Mrs. Diaz have a wonderful rest of your week my friends.
Great video, Doug! I don’t know how I didn’t get a notification for it because this is exactly what I love. On location video and a great story about an awesome guy like Ralph Terry. Enjoyed the video & narrative of Ralph's story. Sports has such a redemptive value win or lose or somewhere in between. I'm happy for Ralph that he was WS MVP. Thanks 👍 Doug
great video Doug!!!!!!!!!!! I did not know Ralph's story. I'm sure you would agree that the stories behind the cards are just as or more interesting than the cards themselves! health and happiness to you.. Jonathan.. aka..the Boston kid
That was great! Never been to Larned. Drove through Kansas twice and went with my buddy to see his grandson, Payton Tolle, play at Wichita State. He pitched and hit and crushed it going 5-5 with 6 RBI and struck out 10 with 2 hits in 6 innings. Just went to the Red Sox in the 2nd Round. One thing I can say about Kansas is that I've never seen an ugly lady there! Good to learn this story about a fellow Oklahoman, I've never heard it. I knew some guy gave up that HR but never knew who. What an ending! Great job and cards, Doug!

Howdy 316 ! What a slick video guy ! Ralph has been the talk of the town among some of the boys lately. Alot of baseball players persevered.
