hes pretty bad against red honestly. he can sorta work against red ener g if you have nothing else with surge immune and against capy he is decent too. everything else though, he has terrible compatibility.
Saito is so good that anything not given to him is almost like a boost of enjoyment. Units that you can just send at anytime and end the enemies (Dasli) hurt enjoyability, but Saito still requires strategy of when to send him.

This collab has honestly made some of the most consistently awesome units in a single banner in a long time. Giving 2 stellar end game ubers and 2 solid ones is above the usual for collab banners. Even the Srs are decent

Looks like Ponos found a sweet spot for rebound rushers. I get the feeling that they really don't want another beast like Blanka. That's why they gave Saito and Kozuchimaru lower damage and a longer TBA compared to him. Saito got more Range and a bigger Omistrike, but he lost some HP in exchange and has no defense against Surges. I think this was Ponoa' way of limiting his power. Fingers crossed for Kozichimaru TF.
Spent 3750 catfood and 35 tickets on this banner to collect all the ubers. I will probably regret this considering that I have no use for Aoshi or Sanusoke, but I really don't care because I have been stagnating on my interest in this game for a few months and fucking around with two mediocre subpar ubers might breathe new life into my enjoyment.

I did 5 11 draws and rolled 87 more tickets and almost didnt get him. Got 2x Kenshin, 2x, Aoshi, 4x Sanosuke, 4x Li'l Kaoru, and then got Saito with 10 tickets left and another at 3 tickets. I never got Li'l Yahiko at all. I didnt get any non-guranteed ubers in my 5 11 draws lmao.

Akira requires you to own Akira, which can be obtained from Dark Heroes, Uberfest, Epicfest, Platinum Capsules, and Legend Capsules. These come with extremely low odds that the only way to get him is randomly, or search for him by seedtracking. This does not mention the fact that you need 25 Uber/Legend Rare Catseyes, 15 Dark Catseyes, 200 np, a shitload of xp, and a bunch of catfruits that I don't by memory. In comparison, Saito is obtained from the Rurouni Kenshin Collab, which only has 4 ubers and a guarantee. Sure if you missed it, then you won't be able to get him for who knows how long, but it will happen again eventually. Plus, he only needs the Catseyes to be at full power against aku. Plus, his 100% shield piercing and 400 effective range on a cheap ,rusher unit makes him so much easier to use than Akira.

Kenshin has a good chance of returning like next year, given its bigger size and rough simmilarities to the ramna collab. So if you bet on that, better to get a LR at that point. Unless you really want to see Aku burning.
You get to units like one eyed asuka, saber, Black Zeus (legend rare), eva 02. Like, genuinely jacked stuff up there. Blanka already was considered a great uber and Saito takes the same concept and elevates it higher.

Ok, I'm need somebody to hear me out. I'm using seed tracking and I can get Saito EXCEPT I would have to give up a legend rare to get him. It's currently Ultra Souls, but I already have Ushiwakumaru and if I do give up the legend rare, I would need to pull another 367 TIMES until I can get another. So what do you think should I do, get Saito to destroy Aku enemies or get a legend rare that I don't already have to destroy their specific trait?
Honestly, tough calls. I personally believe that this collab can return next year, which might save you pulls by not skipping a Legend Rare slot. Although with collabs you may never know.
Yes, but to put it in comparison, he absolutely destroys red/aku as much as Blanka destroys cotc. In fact, he does overal better combat wise than Blanka aside from Blanka's much usually high HP stat. He can straight up 2 shot 200% Fallen Bear. He can hardcarry through Ill Be Bug and the soon to be added to EN restriction stage. He makes dealing with Midnite D and Ackey easy. The guy is a menace.

you know, no matter what, units will be triggered an attack when their opponents enter the area from -320 to their given range. therefore, cuz saito's given range is 200, omni -100 to 400, he is unable to touch enemies in the range -320 to -100, resulting in this funny clip.
I spent 4500 catfood on this banner only to get Saito but got only Aoshi and Kenshin from 3 uber guaranted rolls. Still managed to get him today from rare ticket. Sadly, I didn't get collab super rares
without saito i wouldnt have beaten it, i used him to get that initial pierce on flying, and then pretty much sent him whenever able after that for big burst on the bosses as well as keeping them back, especially if the lions, bunnies, and snaches stack up on top of everything else, he can relieve a lot of pushing pressure in that stage, just make sure to not bring surge units otherwise saito will do nothing
If I had a nickel for every time ponos make a collab uber that is one of the best against a specific trait I would have 2 nickels which isnt a lot but it's wierd that it happened twice
Even if we're ignoring the extremely expensive cost to make Akira viable, he's not exactly hard to replace. But Saito is the only anti-aku rusher right now, which makes him a lot more valuable.

Probably saito, but why not both?
Even if we're ignoring the extremely expensive cost to make Akira viable, he's not exactly hard to replace. But Saito is the only anti-aku rusher right now, which makes him a lot more valuable.

@@astablemultivibbrator8538 nah, akira is pretty broken. He can have up to 60k dps against aku, good bulk and he can equip two talent orbs. While he's not as unique as saito, he's still stronger than similar ubers
