I really appreciate the fact that you mentioned how many sc there are in a round. As I’m learning more about crochet I have learned the value of stitch markers!, they’re so helpful. Great tutorial!
I saw one of these a couple years ago at my nephew’s house and I was like, “Wow, that’s really Cool!! I want to make one!” I was curious how it was done. Thank you so much for your pattern and tutorial. I love it & really enjoyed making it! 😊
My pleasure, Sherry! Glad you found it helpful. Do share pics of your completed projects (can email me at knittycatsknits@gmail.com). Would love to see them. Making these is one of my favorite projects. Thanks for watching and best wishes🤗
Don’t know if someone has pointed out the mistake in the written pattern but after sc in the first row it will be 36 chains and not 26. Working on it right now. Thanks so much for this!
Thanks so much for watching, Heather, and really appreciate you flagging the mistake (I blame it on my fat fingers😊). Am fixing it right now. So happy that you are creating this and let me know how they turned out🤗
Good question! Actually, I have not tried making a smaller one but I think it should be feasible to do as long as you follow the same format. For example, can make a chain of say 25, then in first riw, make 48 single crochets and then continue accordingly. It should fold in the same way as shown in video and then can keep crocheting until the 2 diagonals meet up at the center (expect will need less than 20 rounds of crocheting). Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching and best wishes!🤗
I have made a ton of these and working your first round in the back bump of the initial chain row has nothing to do with the sewing up at the end. If you whip stitch the piece together through all loops of the v the piece is stronger.

I know I would have to decrease chains for a smaller potholder but I'm not sure how many to decrease..could you let me know please?
