I’ll be realistic. I couldn’t afford the 8. So, IF I CAN AFFORD, I will have to choose the SE. Mine now is SE 1st gen. The issue is affordability, not features.
I personally do not care for the always on display lol its not like I could look at the time at any other angle than flipping my wrist and checking the time like you would do a regular digital watch. Also, I would rather have the display off while not using as it is discreet. Ordered my SE 2 yesterday I cant wait to receive it.
Thank you for being so informative on the 8 series. I just got it in the 41 mm and hoped I made good decision instead of the 45mm but you nailed it on presentation. Thanks again
The only reason why I didn’t get the SE is because it doesn’t have the AOD. I hope the 3rd generation SE has the AOD because that’s such a game changer for people who want… a watch. However I love my 8 and it’s one of the better purchases I’ve made.
You got the right one. That was also something I like to use everyday and want to get it on my phone because of how good Apple made it. I like always being able to see what’s playing on screen
They had a sale of the Series 8 in my local supermarket. Minus 15% off, so I bought that. I have the first SE which I bought in 2021 and its battery was down to 84%, so a nice upgrade. The 45 mm screen is nice too.
@Street geng well for me personally I'd choose the series 8 if I had some extra bucks to spare but since am on budget I'd get myself the se2 this is because it serves me as much as the series 8 and majorly for me the health app us everything
I bought the SE2 this past weekend for $250... but Amazon Prime Days has the Series 8 for $279 right now so no brainer - I'm returning the SE2 for the Series 8.
@tematotherescue Aside from the price and technical differences I actually prefer the SE/SE2 design in my day-to-day usage over Series 7/8 because those bigger displays are curved around the edges while SE's displays end right next to where the curves start, so the image isn't distorted. I wonder if anyone else feels this way.
@wizp0p I personally prefer the Apple Series 8 because it's literally like a wrist watch version of the 14 pro/pro max. The SE is good tho. But the Series 8 is my favorite for now.

Just got my first iPhone since the 6 was released, so it’s been a while. Having owned the Galaxy Watch3 + 4, AOD is a useless battery waster. Not sure how it plays out with Apple Watches but the SE2 will be my choice. Thank you for this video
@cpage85 I think I will go to with the SE 2nd. The one thing that is keeping me on the fence is the not having a full keyboard like the 8 has. But coming from the 3rd gen I think this will be an awesome upgrade.

@doughiethecalico i've had the SE 1 for about 2 years now. If i had to buy one today, i'll go with the Series 8 because of the AOD. But it's not a deal breaker and i'll use my SE 1 until it's obsolete.

Just out of curiosity, how does the “always on display” make the series 8 better? Not sure how you see the time if you don’t lift your wrist. Also, doesn’t that burn battery faster since it’s always on?
I’ve seen a lot of people saying this is the main reason they chose the 8, I’m not sure why. I’ve had the AW4 since it came out and haven’t once felt like the wrist action to turn the screen on is a nuisance, it works flawlessly every time. I’d rather my device isn’t using up energy for the screen when I’m not using it.
Do you recommend getting it before the September release? Will there be a price drop/reduction after the release? Planning to get an SE 2 and it’s getting tough for me to wait. Lol
1st time having a Apple Watch . Trying to decide between the SE 2 (would only be paying $15 a month ) or the Series 8 ( about $35) both cellular the only reason I'm not 100% for SE is no keyboard 😩 . I don't care for all the extra health . I'll be using it for the basics lol. What would you recommend?
@stanhudepohl Ive been using the apple watch series 3 for almost 4 years now and the only thing that i’m missing is the always on display. being able to see the time without awkwardly twisting my wrist every time i wanna see the time is a very important factor to me.
