It's so super sweet that a huge group like the MIT actually take their time to appreciate the ground keepers, gardeners, e.c.t. You don't see many (actually, i haven't seen ONE ) groups or companys doing this. This is why the MIT rocks! ;) Stay cool guys.

Apparently it's cheaper and better for publicity to make a well-produced, 5 minute video "celebrating" these workers on Labor Day than to actually pay them decent money.
Nobody is confused. Labor Day was not founded for white collar workers with post high school degrees, even though these days most of us enjoy the day off. I'm sure everyone appreciates the IT Department.
I wish more universities, public and private, would so kindly publish the hard work of support staff who keep those institutions running.
same, great to thank everyone who works to keep a school open

I worked for facilities / physical plant when I was a senior there!
Wonderful video and tribute. Love the editing and simple stats as much as the content.

Lol as usual no mention of the IT department... it's ok we prefer it that way :)
last time I checked IT was not part of Department of Facilities!
Jess West You do realize the video is titled "Seeing the unseen: Thank you to those who keep MIT running"
yes which is very misleading because the people filming it only wanted to make a dept. of facilities video to show our side of everything

LOL!
