Introduction: "FRAGMENTS OF A DREAM" no. 1

The titles of my works are very important to me, they sort of complete the painting.
I recently started severeal works with resin finish and somehow they “split” into two series. A colorful one with painted sides, and another one with more decent colors and white sides. The latter actually begun earlier, but because of the (missing) title I haven't published any work from it yet.
The title should reflect my feelings about the works: sketchy, muted colors, powerful yet playful, clear lines but also washed out, watercolor-like elements. Then there was the resin surface, which has a special effect, it gives the works a special sharpness and depth, the washed-out elements are blurred and sharp at the same time.
Sure you know this feeling when you're somewhere between sleeping and awake, half asleep trying to figure out what is reality or dream; trying to dream the last scenes of your dream while elements of the real world already flow into it. You see something clearly in front of you, but at some point you can no longer grasp it.... "FRAGMENTS OF A DREAM" no. 1.
"FRAGMENTS OF A DREAM" no. 1 is 20 x 20 x 5 cm (8 x 8 x 2 in), mixed media on paper on wood panel with a high-glossy resin finish.
