So true, about low salary. I’ve been teaching in the state of FL for 24 yrs., have a masters degree and 5 certifications, as of this last school year I was earning less than 55k. Worst of all, I still owe over 40k on student loans (a lot more than what I actually borrowed 15 yrs ago) to complete my MS. If I were in a different profession or had some type of corporate job I would be making a lot more money. It’s really sad how little our children’s education is valued.
This is SO true. Teachers are taken for granted and just expected to do above and beyond what they should and for such little pay. 😢
