Having expectations is not necessarily a bad thing. The problem is when it becomes unrealistic. Of course you wouldn’t know at the time and I was guilty of this. Having that expectation unmet broke me and for a long time, I kept a grudge. It took some maturing to recognize where I had gone wrong with my expectations.
So true, no one is perfect. Use the Word of God as the standard, not the behavior of men.
