    I see these negative comments here. Lot"s of good comments. But this guy got 17 concussions. shot numerous times plus blown up and received many other injuries in service of our country yet people just have to belittle his heart felt talk!

      A person cannot say the truth now? As I was admiring his Michelangelo-sculpted body wth vicious tats, I was hoping that the talked matched his imposing demeanor.

    I hope you can keep that mind driven to personal fulfillment. The SEALS are conquerors and you country is grateful to have people like you out there, in or out of uniform. Purpose is a moving target as you were indicating, especially when your mind won't allow you to give up and you accomplish your purposes quickly. You haven't fallen from purpose but may spend a portion of your life getting new purpose in the silence of your answers. Thanks to everyone who ever took part in special warfare for paying this price for everyone. You are all superheroes from where I sit. I salute you guys!

    I think ppl have the hardest time with the finding of purpose. The issue isn't the after, rather it is the process of indentifying purpose.

    I think he needs to retool his presentation. His content was on point, but didn't convey the right tone. I would like to have heard him speak on the same subject, but in a manner that better captured the attention of the audience and motivated them to embrace the positivity of his message. When I hear this man speak, I want to walk away saying "Purpose, Process, and Love", I now have the basic tools to approach all problems and situations in life. I think he fears not sounding authentic if he catches himself speaking like a motivational speaker. Awesome person, awesome content, give us more.

      MPPD POA I found it to be more Authentic and genuine than 90% of Ted Talk presenters.... I've watched many, plus have an entire CD box set of 1000s I listen to in car! So I beg to differ - more of his authentic leadership style is what we need in this world

      I’ve seen multiple videos that Jeff had to offer. It’s very genuine to how he acts. I don’t think he’s trying to reach the masses, though I could be wrong. It seems like it’s catered towards a specific audience.

    If one has had the warrior spirt but has stumbled and did not make it to the top and found themselves lost can they regain the spirit understanding that the purpose will probably change

      Struggling with that myself, it's a scary situation, having to say no to a fire that burns, almost like a bad addiction that you know will never be replaced, if that makes sense and we are talking about the same thing.

    • @parkercomputing
      @parkercomputing 7 років тому +1

      Yep but I think in his talk we need to find another reason for the fire to burn even though we at least I - can't do that anymore. But we can still sharpen the sword

    • @tonybayer2546
      @tonybayer2546 6 років тому

      Yeah, while they're all skilled and dedicated members of our military, you have to wonder how SEALs are said to be the most top secret and skilled, yet we always hear about them on the news, read their books, and see who they are. At the same time we have no idea what the other special forces groups are up to. Not trying to discredit SEALs in any way, I've considered becoming one myself one day.

    So how do I continue to find purpose if everything you try ends up as failure? Like the guys who ring the bell, what do they do to get back on track?

    • @emburgess7186

      Cole Cooper Ok then how do you get those folks who quit to come back mentally from that defeat? You gotta figure those quitters are mentally crushed an depressed that they didn't make the cut.

      em Burgess Thats where their PURPOSE had to be re-evaluated. They need to reflect and find a reason to come back, a REAL reason. Nobody can find that reason but yourself, thats all there is to it.

    • @ek7404

      They need to find a different goal. Maybe being a SEAL, Ranger, or Green Beret just wasn’t for them. Just like 99% of the population, it’s not a bad thing to admit that. Their purpose is elsewhere.
