Fight night champion is elite. I’ve been playing it non stop lately and it holds up in every way. It’s the perfect mix of arcade and realism. And the legacy mode could’ve been it’s own game on top of the champion story mode. Best boxing game ever made.
I disagree wit you on da basis that, their was something wrong with the impact sounds, the jab was goofy didnt feel fresh like round 3-4 did. Even knockout kings 2004 had better in fighting. Whilst champion had a scammy fake feel to it in regards to the infighting, Literally punching through opponents arms ignoring real physics like in previous games, overall gameplay was good, but those who neutral and free from nostalgia and bias. Will point out the bullshit in this game. Graphics are just amazing even in 2022. Just had way more realistic fun with other games in the series.
Its full of toxic tryhards, i wish i could play round 4.
@Elliott Plazinski I 100% agree with you about Fight Night Champion should be in the ELITE category. Boxing Fanatico be low key hating on Fight Night Champion for some reason 🤷🏾♂️
Fight night champion is by far the best boxing game ever made. Elite
Nah their stamina system fuckin sucks
I competed in amateur boxing at the age of 12 for a few years. And the closest game that felt like real life was Fight Night 2004.
Fight Night Round 3 is the best because that game made me fell in love with boxing
i agree, after Fight Night Round 3, all the games was too arcade
I would agree if it had Mike Tyson
Cant believe you left out Greatest Heavyweights on Sega Genesis. That Game is still Amazing today. Fight night champion in far and away the best Boxing game still so far.
I agree about Fight Night 2004… my favorite of the series!! You had to think about every punch you threw and the game was just balanced. I was ranked in the TOP 100 for PS2 and this game was so fun
Fight night round 4 hands down GOAT
I cant remember FN 04 too well, maybe because online gaming wasnt a thing on the PS back then. I loved FNR 3 when the PS3 released constantly on it. Parry was good if people wanted to spam the crappy X punch you parry and lay him out with 2 punches of your own 🤛
Out of all the boxing games I've played fight night 2004 easily takes #1. Everything Sj fifita said plus stamina really meant something. you could get tired and slow down if you threw to many punches. That was huge in that game. I knocked out so many people in the mid to late rounds because of that. I hope they think about that in the new ESBC. was a great game.
Yes!!! Thank you… every punch was well thought out. It was just a great balanced game and the combo’s really felt special and made you feel connected to the game. Champion feels like rock em sock robots. Wish they released 2004 again!!! Remaster it
I recently bought an Xbox 360 just to play Fight Night Round 4. It’s still a great game after all the years
I’m 40 seconds into the video and I can tell you right now that both “ready 2 rumble” and “ready 2 rumble 2” is and should be in the amazing row 💯
Finally love for fight night 2004 getting its place it deserves!played this series to death, loved them all but 2004 is for me the most realistic,it's boxing in its purist form,no gimmicks and room for spamming.people talk about not able to move and punch but if you know how to punch per step and use your angles right then your pretty much moving like a real boxer, loved this game bring it back!
I 1000% agree with you
I agreed with you too 10000000% buddy👍
Totally agree!! Legendary game for me. Started it all with analog punching.
It had the best knock downs too. The ragdoll physics were funny.
I don't understand how any of the Fight Nights are more realistic than Champion. Do you see Fighters In real life blocking other Fighters punches and then land a haymaker? The movement was worse......the jabs look weird and that block a punch haymaker counter would get repetitive. Champion gave you the ability to use the whole ring plus the fighter would block punches but more realistic but you didn't get your face punched off because somebody blocked your punch. The damage was more realistic plus every Fighter moves and fight like they do In real life. Round 4 Is most Peoples favorite because they like the old style......That's why most Fight Night fans didn't buy Champion and that's fine I get it but none are more realistic than Champion. Another crazy thing Is after they stopped making the Game there were fans mad because they stopped but EA's like why waste our time when we barely sold a Million copies of Champion.
IF THEY RE-MASTERED FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION FOR THE PS5. I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN JUST TO SEE ALL THOSE IMPROVEMENTS.
Not really into boxing but Thrill of the Fight is one the most fun games I have ever played. Most immersive vr game too. Zero disconnect from your movement and what happens.
I’m surprised you haven’t played any of the other punch out games. Those were my introduction to boxing and still hold a special place in my heart
Lil Mac is the definition of try hard, lil man complex, keep on fighting against all odds mentality. Lil Mac and Scrappy from scooby doo and the gang are two of my favourite fighters in fiction. Love da underdogs, That's why still this day in most fighting games I choose the characters that people call bottom tier.
Yeah i had super punchout on super Nintendo and it was fun
Fight night 3 and 4 should be elite I feel like 2004 was great for the time but it’s to outdated now to be elite tier other sports games that are old and goat tier usually are still played today with modding community’s
Idk! I personally would have Fight Night Champion in a category above "elite", by itself. As a person who has taken up boxing lessons along with my martial arts training. I've found FNC to be a tad more realistic to actual boxing. The fluidity of the punches, footwork, head movements, and etc, just my personal opinion, but great list nonetheless. Boxer's Road 2 was great as well. Would've been interesting to see where you would've placed "Legends Of The Ring"(SNES), and "Ring King"(Arcade). Also I hated 1978's "Boxing", even then. Lol! There would be a portable electronic handheld Game that came out a year or two later (1979/80) called, "Bambino Boxing". Spent so many hours and days on that thing. It was great. For your next tier-ranking you should rate some UFC/MMA games. That would be interesting. Great Video!
I agree champion really nailed down the flow of fighting especially angle work
@@venicec3310 Yes Indeed!
I have never heard of Boxers Road. Was it available in the States? I am tempted to get a PSP just to Play Boxers Road 2.
Thanks.
Nope Japan only.
Round 4 is the GOAT! Needs a ps3 classic version available for purchase on ps4
04.
It's just great. Perfect in it's simplicity but hard to master.
That era of sports was incredible though.
I recently got espn nfl 2k4 for my ps2 with a 720 upscaler.
Holy f**k man. Talk about detailed and depth. It's incredible. Even if you don't like American football. You can appreciate the effort.
You have a crib, where you can go play air hockey and stuff, cause why not?
There's some i haven't played but i'm digging the videos. still looking forward to ESBC
Boxer road 2 best👍 🔥
Still the only boxing game I pull out once in a while.
Fight night round 4 or champion
Knockout Kings 99 on the Sony Playstation with option of the cover of having Lennox Lewis or Evander Hoyfield on the cover was the game that got me into boxing.
FN4 was really good. Champion is even better but only IF both fighters agree not to spam. Which basically is never.
They’re all fun quality games
Thrill of the Fight deserves higher. It is amazing!!
ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!! IT FEELS LIKE BOXING!!!
Could you save that list amd do a pt 2 adding more boxing games like: super punch-out, ring king, wii boxing etc?
To answer the tittle and thumbnail; punch-out (the wii game) is easily the best boxing game of all time, with mike tyson's punch out in second place. But that's just my opinion
😂😂😂
My first my boxing game was ready to rumble on ps.
I have FN Champion on a Jtag 360 and FN Round 3 on my phone, my top two of all time. I also like Boxing on PS1 for arcade style and Rocky series wasn’t bad.
The only thing I don't like about Fight Night 2004 is the computer decides when you get to retire and set of you making the decision whereas in Fight Night Round 2 you can box for as long as you want to and retire when you're ready
Your taste is impeccable
Great list - only one disagreement - Thrill of the fight is top tier for me. Where else can you get a workout while you play a boxing video game? :D Love it.
I'm half way through your interesting video and learning about so many games. I hope boxing on the Atari makes this list.
Also vr PvP, era of combat boxing. It's the most fun, but looks silly
Maaan we had an EA Sports boxing game on the 3DO system called Foes Of Ali that was FIRE! You could move all around and combos were great.
You could also tap the button for feints.
Great list but any best boxing game ever list has to include Wii Boxing and Super Punch Out
would it be crazy if 2k could get the license to continue the fight night games “ or just rebrand it “ lol
Fight Night Round 3 is slow. However, on the ps3 with the right SSD and using cfw overclocking the RSX, it now runs twice as fast 👀🥊🥊🔥🙏
You missed out on Greatest Heavyweights for Sega Genesis 🥊🥊
There is one boxing game i love playing. Black And Bruised.
KOK 2002 was fun you gotta use that stick to weave
Fight night 4 and champion my faves, just bought undisputed early access and loving that
Fight Night 2004- just wish it had the cut man mini game and holding that round 2 had.
Before watching: HBO Boxing was mad underrated and ahead of its time on the PS1
Fnr4 was the best yes it had glitches but it was still the best I had over 3k fights online
Nice vid ! Have you tried victorious boxer 1 ippo's road to glory ? Maybe better than the 2nd..I'm sure you gonna love it ! (and maybe make a video of it ? 😃) cheers
Victorious Boxers and Boxer's Road, without a doubt.
Great vid and always like the insight you give, had to subscribe.. are you planning on making a video on the boxing games you haven't played yet?
If anyone's being honest and not including nostalgic reasons, 🙄Fight Night Champion is easily the best boxing game ever, to this date. And probably will be until EA or another major company makes another one
I never played Boxer’s Road 2 (a 2007 psp game) until recently (2021) so if I was to base my list on nostalgia FNC would have been above BR2…. FNC lacked good boxing fundamentals (a one button block with a meter) (no feints) (slow legs with no footwork at all) (no ability to create angles) (very knock out leaning, it was a power punch fest encouraged by the game mechanics) (Jab was very weak and could easily be exploited in a game where it should be the go to weapon) all fighters fought the same way with simply cosmetic animations ex. Philly and guard were equally as effective in defense regardless of the different animations) FNR4 in my opinion was better because at least I could block high and low creating a better mechanic to Sike out your opponent for combos like real boxing
@@BoxingFanatico everybody has an opinion and I definitely value yours and like your Channel. But I played mostly all of those boxing games that people mentioned and fnc is the only one that stood the test of time as long as it has. The servers for Fight Night Round 4 were still up all the way till 2019 but the servers were empty and everybody was still playing Fight Night Champion and still do to this day. And I don't know about most people but I use my Jab well in that game. It came out in 2011 so it's definitely not perfect but still the best by far. I still play it often and it's still very fun. Fight Night Champion online has become a culture over the years
@@BoxingFanatico please do me a favor and watch a UA-cam video titled
Fight Night Champion in motion and it will remind you how beautiful Fight Night Champion can be when played correctly. It's only like a 3 minute video please watch it and tell me what you think and do you see why I say Fight Night Champion is still that game
Yea no
I'd bump OG KO Kings up one. I enjoyed the hell out of it when it came out, even though it wasn't great. Skill was there, but subtle. This was the first 3D boxing game we really got. N64 KO Kings 2000 was a lot better than the PS1 version. Much faster loading and the fighting was better. Pull it up on an emulator sometime.
The best boxing game ever made is ABC Wide World of Sports Boxing, it had it all, i hope such a game will come in a newer verison
Evander Holly Field Real Deal boxing 🥊
The BEST boxing game ever made was (ABC world wide boxing) Never see a boxing game like that, it had it all
I loved knockout kings. Coming from holyfield real deal boxing..this was a huge upgrade. That game made me want to keep playing boxing titles from that day forward. Or maybe I'm just old 🤷🏽♂️🤣. Just the soundtrack to Mike Tyson's punch out alone is elite...at least it was as a kid.
Where would you put Undisputed now that that's out?? Be Elite for me eazyy
Very good, not elite
It’s so funny how all of us boxers and fighters are gonna be buying PS1’s, PS2’s and PS3’s to play all the golden oldies when we’re not destroying our bodies through multiple 12 round fights in TOTF🤣
Great video!
I owned this game on ps1 called Contender which was pretty decent, I played it non stop in middle school. It released in 1999 i think it had a sequel which was even worse. Also Mike Tyson had a game on ps2, Mike Tyson Boxing, which sucked.
Supposedly the Hajime no ippo game made only in Japan has the best mechanics out of any boxing game out there.
yea that's Boxer's Road
Nice breakdown, I agree for the most part. I have to put FNC in elite though due to the game play, replay ability and custom fighter downloads. What about ring king, Super punch out (elite/amazing imo) and Rocky Legends?
Rocky legends on PS4?
Great video. Very informative and entertaining
C'mon fanatico, the first knockout kings should get at least a good ranking. Lol
"your morals" LMAOOOOOOO
Fight night 2004🐏
Fight night 3 on the xbox IS the best boxing game of all time!!!!
Boxing online looks fire 🔥😂
I still have my original Xbox and fight night 2004
Esbc needs to hire the ppl from the boxers road games we would have the best boxing game of all time
HBO boxing for ps2 and legends of boxing on SNES.
How do you get boxers road 2 for PC???
You forgot Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing 2002 game
Imagine how sensitive people are now that you have to let them know this list is your opinion and no one should get upset 😂
Knockout 2000 on N64 was better and different than the PS1 version. And way better experience than Mike Tyson's punch out.
Creed doesn't seem that bad? The graphics looks cool. If just playing with friends to mess around and smack talk, it seems great and with one of the best looking. Are people being too picky or am I wrong?
Lets gooo season 2
What about the game Ring King ?
Yall never played face breaker 😂😂
Ready to Rumble should have been higher IMO
Undisputed is élite?
Pls pls play fight night round 3 on PSP pls 🙏🥺
Legends of the ring for super Nintendo is the absolute best.
Fight round 2 for me
No ashita no joe games?
Fanatico they got a new boxing game called "International Boxing" and I promise you it's the worst boxing game known to man...I'd take that 1970s boxing game over it bro lol
Ko kings was the shit back in the day... its been way too long since we had a boxing game... can't wait for esbc
Edit... that newish creed boxing game is disrespectful to boxing... to gaming... and to the rocky movies... some much hot ass garbage
You forgot buster Douglas boxing game
Victorious boxers
Dose anyone played ring king or just me
You ain’t put Wii sports boxing on there😂
4D Sports Boxing.
Round 3 is the best boxing game ever
Fight Night Champion is the greatest boxing game ever created.
No super punch out?
You missed Rocky on PSP. It plays very differently from the PS2 one. Personally, I think this is the best PSP boxing game. Based on how you rank your games, it might actually fall under Very Good to Amazing category.
Fight night on psp was better. I like both games, but realism wise fight night on psp was simply hardcore and better than rocky on psp. Both games are fun in different ways.
@@MuhammadAli-xw4yc I liked Fight Night too...until I realized how OP lean back + head sway left/right counter was. Then you suddenly realize that jabs to the head would miss or be countered with haymaker. Jabs to the body did little to no damage and were highly counterable. Hajime No Ippo was good too. Better than the PS2 version even...until you realize that Ad-Hoc was terribly laggy. Rocky on the other hand, though not perfect, was the best. Ad-hoc was buttery smooth. Gameplay had better balance. Only downside was that Rocky, the main character sucked the most technically. Plus, the stand up mini game after knock down was really hard to master.
Fight night round 4
I'm playing boxers Road 2 on my phone it's immaculate the technical aspects of gameplay far exceed anything else released since. My only gripe is its impossible for me to navigate the Japanese language in menus/settings I'm using a Bluetooth controller and can't map buttons to switch from block to sway and punch selec
It's a special move
The sway to block witch is a special move you have to unlock
@@gcktdhu9318 brilliant, thank you for the information
@@Samual_33 If you want to learn more
Go try checking out Redsawn
He has a crazy good guide about this game and hes also giving otr a saved file on where everything is unlocked
@@gcktdhu9318 I will go and check that out thanks again. Its a great game well worth getting the unlocked save for sure.
Fight night round 3 hands down
man everything about that Creed VR shit was laughable i literally laughed out line the whole time that was dreadful the little opponent flailing around the stupid lights on the screen that’s the worst thing i saw on this list
Fight Night 4
You forgot about Riddick Bowe Boxing for sega lol
