Well, I think president Buhari should have very serious dialogue with Senate minority leader, Sen. Abaribe (I personally like him/his personality), to address his concerns which seemed to be genuine. I've no doubts that president Buhari is a person of integrity, however, he should not be surrounded by fellow Hausa-Fulani clique/the Northerners only, that perception, even in a staggering young democracy with complex social-econ-pol issues is very dangerous for national unity. Africa looks to Nigeria as a regional power....it should seriously address its religious/ethnic/regional divide with common purpose/mission/goal. I suggest Nigerian political parties (and other African nations) send its young cadres to CCM/Julius Nyerere Leadership Institute, Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
@@oluolum399 I am sure there are many great nationalist/Africanist leaders from the North, South-East and South-West, including minorities in between those regions (Yakubu Gowon-comes from the North-a minority-a wise choice then). In a democracy, they will come forth/forward someday. Patience, peace/love and dialogue/moderation are virtues...after all in democracy/politics is an art of compromise, give and take.
It is good all things play out this way which have naked their agenda, Osibanjo who is not from North is his contribution accepted, same would have been in any other tribe is there. Just take for instance during 18 Assembly Senator Bokola Saraki there was big go slow.
Unfortunately you are the one percent of the one percent. Perhaps the rest of your kith and kin hold a more radical opinion. e.g "The extermination should have been complete" "They should have killed more babies" "The igbos owe the Nigerian nation an apology and it must be paid in more blood" etc.
Thanks to the peoples senator for your wise choice of words in response to the questions. For the genocide against the people of eastern Nigeria(Biafra). The president of Nigeria and General Gowon must apologise to Biafra for the loss of over 3 million civilians including children. That will assuage the feelings of the people. Open up the economy of the south east which has been under lockdown since 1970. The chemical department of UNN has been in lockdown since 1970. Mr Ladi, where in the world has history been jettisoned because we are afraid to acknowledge the atrocities of the civil war.
