It was posted that MC colors are not allowed...CVMA is not an MC. It's an association there's a difference, not a HUGE difference but there is a difference. They should have been allowed in and not bothered. American Legions across the US have banned any club colors other than their own. I'm in Marines MC and we have had similar problems.

    • @joshythehand2960

Of course I respect their service.. But you have to apply the no colors or cut equally. Because some asshats might get offended you allowed one group in yet kept their colors out. It must applied across the board.

Civilians don’t know the difference between mc’s or associations and owners and managers consider them all the same. Restaurants and such cater to the public and depend on them for the profits. It’s an image thing and it’s their call. I’ve been asked to remove my vest which I did. It was no big deal to me and I’m still a member of my association.

If they won’t allow 1%er’s due to the rep that follows them then they have to make it across the board. There are other restaurants that support the Vets and it’s association. I can understand to an extent the fear of incidents repeating themselves. But, to me, I find it a bit silly. I would have no issue with any MC, AC, WC, SC or any other organization eating at my place with their vests on. Especially a veterans organization. I find if bikers in general frequent your place and they like you and the place, they will respect and protect it. I am not part of any group or MC, I am a new rider and have been a business owner in the past. All I know is that in the biker culture at large, you show them respect, that is what you get back. I am glad the veterans posted this. I wouldn't wanna frequent that place either after seeing them treated like that.

No. That's not right, because these guys aren't in a Club. Do you think they would turn people in the Christian Motorcycle Association away, unless they took their vests off? The reasoning behind not wanting people to wear their colors is because of club rivalry. There isn't a rivalry, between associations and clubs. Should they not let teams to come in, wearing jerseys? A Jersey is the same type of thing as a biker club vest, and teams have rivalries. Fans fight over teams, so it should be applied to them, too, right? Allowing them to represent, but not the bikers to is disrespectful to the bikers.

Listen, I'm not here to argue with you. I let my opinion be known about that situation, it's as simple as that. You asked me several questions I chose to answer one of them. As for your obsession with my service history, it's none of your fucking dusinesd when or where or even if I served so piss off old man.

If the dress code states that ANY vests are not allowed, then you ARE looking for special treatment. Take your business elsewhere then. I am a combat veteran by the way, and cannot stand this type of crap.

Andre Barlow Andre Barlow you cant possibly be responding to me, because I stated that I am a combat veteran myself. I’ve been doing this Army thing for 18 years and have plenty of deployments, so don’t assume I haven’t rowed the boat. Spare me the you’re putting your life on the line for my freedom bullshit. That doesn’t work with another veteran.
We’re in a volunteer military. No one made you join, so if a restaurant says “no vests”, no matter who it is, then that applies to everyone. You seem like that guy who has a fit because a store doesn’t give you a 10% discount for your service. Give me a break 🙄

Brett Sims if it wasn’t brought up by the CVMA then I can respect that. Ride safe and I’ll be supporting you guys on a poker run here in my area soon!

They have rules posted just like CVMA does....if you're not a combat veteran you can't join. How would they feel if some non combat vets started to protest against them.....oh yeah and I'm a veteran.

Non-combat vets can join the CVMA as a Support Member.

CVMA is a very misleading organization, more than half of them have never seen combat, this blows my mind haha.
