There is so much cool stuff in the game. It has a 1950 esthetics that took a drastic turn from our history into the future and then dirtied it all up with grime and rust. I could make stuff from it for decades and never run out of inspiration. 😁
That was freaking epic, Thomas! Soooo complicated. Not sure if I'd even think of tackling something that huge by myself. But man, it sure would be cool. I do enjoy the more involved builds and more explanations. Thank you for being amazing, my friend.
Glad you liked it. It was a bit more involved than I anticipated and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Adding the LEDs after the facts probably added to the difficulty 😄
This is awesome! I used this video and the template to build this for my son. I was even able to scale it down because of your instructions. We love the helmet! It got tons of compliments this Halloween.
This is just a cool build. Didn't realise how detailed these were! Like that the ears have a vault door imagery (cog wheel)! Fav FO weapon for me is the laser musket!
Sounds like your son had the most epic Halloween costume ever. I've never gone the pepakura route, always seemed like a lot more parts than necessary. It's probably a lot more accurate than my hand-made patterns, though.
Thomas you really know your stuff, your Invision and creativity. Is a joy to watch you deserve a bit more recognition of all the work that you put in keep up the great work. great build inspiring.👍👍
You are too kind. I would love for the views and subs to go up, but the fact that anyone would tune in weekly keeps me motivated. I would be making art regardless, so why not share the creativity. Thanks for the positivity
Love the build! While all the other groups you mentioned are outstanding for general build tutorials, check out Obscurus Crusade. They are a Warhammer 40K cosplay group. As such, there are many builds of Space Marine armor, both to scale, and to wearer's size. There are also threads about printing templates to scale, wiring for lights and sound, and platform/frame building for the skeleton internals. Also, while there isn't any info on it, the hoses under the lenses may be fresh air inlets. This would help keep the lenses from fogging up. Anyone who has worn any kind of lensed mask has probably had fogging issues. Channeling how the air enters and exits the helmet is the best way to keep the lenses clear. For costumes, there are fans available. They are typically found in paintball and airsoft supplies.
That would make sense, like a valve release on a respirator. I have seen some of those Warhammer 40k costume builds, and they look extremely difficult. Just the scale and figuring out how to proportion it to both fit and look right 🤯. I'll have to check out Obscurus Crusade. Thanks for the suggestion
Looks great!! I'm actually working on a T-51 Power armor cosplay from Fallout 4/76 style so Im glad to see more power armor cosplays even if its just a helmet. One thing id ask is if you can, could you make a fusion core? that powers the power armor, just wanted to ask of course. Hope you have a great day, and welcome to the wasteland
Gotcha. With almost 550 videos on the channel here on UA-cam, sometimes I edit vids to the bare bones to make it more viewable. I will do my best to make them somewhere in that sweet spot.
It can be. If you are new to foam fabricating, try something small like a mask or a knife, then work you way up. It's like any other skill, you get better with practice.
Great video! The kiddo and I dress up every year for Halloween together and we decided for next year that I'll go in power armor and she'll be a vault dweller. I'm going to start on the helmet soon. I'm 6'5 and not going to wear stilts, so I'll be a little short but I think it'll still be okay.
I demand that my $10 a month be used to build a full suit of armor! 😅😂🤣 Surely you have one room in the house with at least a 10 foot ceiling you can place it against. Joking, of course. You did a good job on this one and I'd love to see a full suit, but I understand the amount of work that goes into it and how difficult storage would be.
😄 I would love to build a full set someday. It would also be cool to make the rack that they have in the game for you to work on them. Maybe down the road if I get a larger workspace, I can make this dreambuild come true.
It was too small to write on, so if you look at page 4 before cutting out, it says "inside eye side piece". That is the bit I am adding. The shape changed a little in the final template version as I had to adjust how the lens would lay on that piece
It's difficult to find that balance of precise and to the point and detailed complete walkthroughs. I am a teacher at a middle school by day and do the UA-cam stuff at night. If I had more time in the day, I could make different cuts for people's preferences. I will try to give more instructions when possible
Typically I wait until everything is together, just before I plasti dip to do it. Because usually I will have to sand back seams of transition pieces, which would open it back up. You just have to hit areas quick so you don't open seams back up
You mean a 3000 like this ua-cam.com/video/oNdBDbPVZ94/v-deo.htmlsi=0Py1HINNqRriAIll Or a 2000 made out of gingerbread ua-cam.com/video/4hVIsPrYBy8/v-deo.htmlsi=VLwHG2Dm_U5e0qWx
Probably not with my template. It would need to be divided up differently to account for the lack of flexibility in cardboard. You could try, but I highly doubt it would turn out like mine out of foam
It is a tall order, literally 😄. It is a dream build for the future. I have a couple cosplays I have already bought materials that I need to do first. Maybe if this gets more interest and people share it, I can move it up the to-do list
I've never had a chance to play these games but your builds make me want to buid all the props lol. This was really fun to watch!

I'd like to see a video where there's no talking but it's sped up 4x & you just blow right through it, like a .50cal hitting a milk jug.
Great thing about UA-cam, mute the video, and go to the setting button to speed up the playback.
Only 98.9 thousand views till we get the full suit
LOL. Let's go. 👊
Would love to see a mini gun build the one with the rotating barrels but any rifle would be great also
That would be pretty cool
This is awesome! I used this video and the template to build this for my son. I was even able to scale it down because of your instructions. We love the helmet! It got tons of compliments this Halloween.
That is awesome! Glad the instructions were clear enough to adapt!
This is just a cool build. Didn't realise how detailed these were! Like that the ears have a vault door imagery (cog wheel)!
Fav FO weapon for me is the laser musket!
The power armor sets are pretty epic. This is one of the more basic models, too. Other variants have a lot more extra pits to them.
Man I made the whole suit for my son for Halloween and I could have used this. I had to start with some pepakura pieces.
Sounds like your son had the most epic Halloween costume ever. I've never gone the pepakura route, always seemed like a lot more parts than necessary. It's probably a lot more accurate than my hand-made patterns, though.
@@MuchPropsI pick one part and then wing the rest but it gets me started and it’s usually the right scale
Although I made the helmet fit his head
Excellent work, thanks for sharing your models
I'm glad to share the creativity
Gorgeous. Hope to see the full thing someday.
WE CAN WAIT.
It would be a fun cosplay to tackle
Awesome! I bought a Pepakura design of a full scale T-51b suit about 5 years ago and haven't had the courage to start it yet. You have inspired me!
The full suit is a massive undertaking but would make for an absolute epic cosplay. Glad you liked the build.
Thanks for this. I am definitely going to tackle this project.
Would love to see it. Let me know how it goes. 👊
It's a shame you don't have more views! Your work is amazing! Thank you for sharing everything, I really hope your videos will blow up in views!
😁👊 it is a shame. I'm just gonna continue having fun building cool stuff and let the rest take care of itself.
Absolutely amazing.
Appreciate it

This channel is pure gold, you gave us a free template AND detailed instructions!?!?
take my sub
Welcome aboard. Hope you find some stuff on here helpful and you build something awesome
another decent prop you made man. thumbs up
I'll take decent. Guess I will try harder next time.
@@MuchProps you did with your own style which is cool. hopefully you can make another fallout stuff.

No puedo esperar a ver qué se te ocurre. Espero que el vídeo ayude.
thank you for sharing the templates i've started to make this now and its coming along pretty well so thank you for doing that :)
Glad I could help. Let me know how it turns out.
Absolutely fantastic build ✊ looking to build a mask and helmet for a Captain Britain costume for August .
I have a Daredevil helmet that would get you close with a few modifications
Well done Thomas... Kinda reminds me of a modified storm troopers helmet. Like a rogue storm trooper stick on a waste planet
The base is a very similar shape. That would make for an interesting mashup of storylines.
@@MuchProps Happy Resurrection(Easter) Day to you and your family Thomas
It's lovely 🤩🤩👊
Thanks👊

@@MuchProps no problem!
man power armour is so cool. I'd love to just make a helmet but damn is it intimidating

Badass job as always 🎉
Thanks, my friend 👊
I love the Tesla armor !
That is a pretty cool set, too. You could use the base armor on a lot of those power armor suits to make the variants, for sure.

Hey, question, at 6:14 you put a piece of foam onto the eye piece, where is that on the template?
