- World War II Veteran, Robert Erksine, was interviewed in Jupiter, Florida on July 16, 2016. SGT Erksine served in the 78th Infantry Division, 303rd Medical Battalion, as a combat medic. SGT Erksine participated in three major battle campaigns, Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge); Rhineland (Remagen Bridge Crossing); and Central Europe. SGT Erksine received the Combat Medical Badge, three Bronze Battle Stars, two Bronze Stars for valor at the Battle of the Bulge, and the French Legion of Honor medal. @MakingHistoryProject
