Rayman is indisputably top talent in the competitive online space. I’d strongly advise this video to anyone looking to improve on their game. There was a lot of effort put into this VOD and class, spread the word and let the knowledge be known!
I wonder if having 4th to pick be 1st to play would make the balancing better. The only advantage for 4th is that they get to pick their starting resources but since there are 3 rolls before them, if 4th starts with a road they often get plucked early. Taking open plows via placement is also difficult unless the board wants the player in 4th to have that spot. The change probably makes 4th too strong though with the ability to plow anywhere on the board.
Great presentation! That's a lot to think about when I do my placements. I'm sure it took a ton of work to put it together so I really appreciate sharing!
31:09 I am the city road guy lol not sure what season this data was pulled from but if it was season 35-36 I was experimenting a good bit out of my comfort zone setup wise. I used to be solely BTT army. So good to see some positive correlation for it. And yes I think sheep is the worst resource in the game by a sizable margin :)
Rayman is awesome! Catan Champs is awesome for making this happen! All of this makes sense and is applicable!! Love it

Hope you enjoyed the class! Thanks again to Rayman200!
This has a lot of useful statistics. Thank you, Rayman, for the time you put into it and for Catan Championship and TwoSheep for sharing the data.
Exciting work Ray! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

great point on the cognitive bias to 8 getting blocked more than 6 despite having same pip production

dylan finally gonna get his catan solver so he can come back
Is this data available to download?
This is cool stuff!
If wood and brick data are different, doesn't that mean the dataset is not big enough?
brick is more rare than wood because there are three brick tiles and four wood tiles, so there are probably differences
