I hate the term quiet luxury, but these are the kind of bags I gravitate towards too. Got to admit that the ysl Manhattan is firmly on my list too for the reasons you stated, I’m not sure why people aren’t talking about it more

I've been around long enough to see some things that were "in" in my teens make a comeback. So with that, I've learned that if you love it, truly love it, you'll continue to wear it regardless of what the trends are. I bought the bottega large pouch when it was first released, prior to price increases. At the time, I was so obsessed I wanted it in more colors. I was smart and only kept the one in nude. So many people are over it, and if I had bought more than one, or a pop of color I may be over it too. But I am still in love with the one I have. Its buttery soft, quality is great, and like you said so chic and elevated but understated at the same time. I will never outgrow my love for that bag regardless what the trends are. It takes time to discover our selves and what we really like.
I love this, it's just confirmation that I'm on the right path. I've seen so many amazing deals on the pouches recently - just waiting for the right one to pop up!
The Celine Classic Box bag is so up my alley! 😍😍 I love a cute, square structured cross body/shoulder bag! 😍 Hermes def has one of the best sales strategies I have ever come across!! 🤣🤣 like people have to beg them for a birkin, by spending a ton of money on other Hermes luxury items. They have cute bags for sure but I am not a bag person so I can never imagine myself spending so much money on a bag, but to someone that loves bags and has the money for a Birkin and the like, why not👌🏾
Girl, the Hermes game is one of the smartest strategies I've ever seen from a marketing perspective but as a customer, I hate it 😭. I'm still holding out hope that one day I'll get lucky and not have to play "the game". As for the Celine box bag - top tier for sure haha!
M&S have a brilliant dupe for the Celine box bag. Sells out but they have plenty of colours. Not leather but around £30-£40 so get the look but not the £££ (also saw one in Sainsbury’s recently, also great look for very little).
I have the Mansur Gavriel cloud bag in caramel and I have used it so much. The clasp shape is dipped in the middle rather than round but the quality is amazing, full leather, great price, certain colours very often in sales. If you need to scratch the Bottega itch, it might not do it, but I love mine if you are after a slightly less spendy but just as good quality alternative on the pouch x
I love the Toteme t -lock but it is huge on most body frames. The puzzle bag in medium is smaller than it. The smaller Toteme is nice but it doesn’t have the top handle option. The chalk colour is also nice but would look a lot nicer with gold hardware.
I love that literally whatever you like, is whatever i like too 😂 Our styles are pretty similar there. I love the toteme bag but already have the original puzzle so I’m trying to hold off on buying it 😅
Aww thank you! I think the Puzzle is the right choice between the two, (especially from an investment perspective, I think the original Puzzle design will become more valuable now) but I am so tempted to get the Toteme bag, I just found out it was released in a taupe colour as well 😍
It’s their smooth leather, but I’ve heard from those who have the black version that it’s really durable. I have the clutch in pebbled and the quality is great.
Hermes is so overhyped in my opinion. I’m so fed up with hearing “Birkins” and “Kellies” left and right. There might be quality there, sure, but they’re soooooo played out! Honestly to me that last YSL bag is WAY cuter than a Kelly! Maybe even more comfortable on the body - it looks that way.
