A Continental air-cooled Flat six with speeds capable of exceeding 65kmph (roughly 40mph), approximate range160km( roughly 99 miles) on 530litres (roughly 109 gallons) of fuel... Cadillac: How fuel efficient does it need to be? U.S Military: No.
Bay Pines Veterans Park ,St Pete,Florida have a Walker Bulldog on display in the park. Wonderful place to picnic and take in some history ,and Florida scenery .
At mt VFW post in Redhill PA, we have a very similar tank that you show at the start of the video sitting out front. I believe it is a M60A3, These tanks are so damn big its insane. Tank doesn't run and is still property of the army. Sure as hell is cool jumping up on it though.
It depends, does it have a rotating turret and co-axial machine gun? If so, then it is a tank but I heard a theory they are just calling it a "fire support platform" because they want the crews to stick with the infantry and not go picking fights with tanks.
I worked on tanks for years at an army depot, today seems like the precipice of another change. Do you think the loitering drones, guided antitank hand fired missiles and other weapons which are becoming readily available and inexpensive will make tank obsolete?
Not many people realize tanks have been around since even before roman times. "Will X make the tank obsolete" is a question been asked for a very very long time, and the answer is always, No. Tanks will change and upgrade. They might change armor style, get new counter measures etc, but I dont think any your or my lifetime they will be obsoleted out of usage.
No, the tanks role will just change probably. Since the tanks first mass use they've had dangers. Air, mines and towards the end of WW2 man portable anti tank rockets.
People have been asking if they are obsolete since they were first used in WWI. No. It’s not obsolete. The tactics of its use will change, but it’s not obsolete.
I’m here for the documentary, not a rock concert. Stop pandering to the kids in your audience and treat the adults with the respect we deserve. I love the content, even when the images do not coincide with what is being described. Stopping video at 2:43.
Great video as always, I knew about the Chaffee tank (there's a Canadian regemental museum one town over from me) and they have one, but your video taught me so much more. I'd never heard of the Bulldog tank at all, so thanks for that as well❤ I can hear you perfectly over the rock music and it's addition helps me focus. Personally, I need some background noise sometimes so I don't get disoriented. Thank you for using metric measurement🇨🇦🇧🇲❤️ Keep up the great work.😊
No thumbs up, which I always do. If you’re discussing an American tank then please leave info about armor and speed in inches and mph, don’t mind if you add metric after or before. Also don’t mind if it’s a European or rest of the world vehicle placing metric first but I do like the silly American measurements after. Don’t expect the world to bend around me but nice to be included, we still love you all and assist when possible 😊
Derama derama derama. It wasn't secret and yes the Sceptics officially used it. Along with a whole pile of other countries including NZ where I was a loader/operator/Crew Commander on one for a while. Not a bad tank but the powerplant was a PITA of maniacal Frankenstein-esque engineering. Bloody fast though although not as fast as the Centurion across rough ground.
They took on T54/55 and PT 76s during the Vietnam war, they only took on T34s in Cuba. In both places they did astonishingly well against enemy tanks that were crewed by a professional fighting force. The myth that the NVA were farmers is honestly disrespectful to both the south Vietnamese and Americans who fought a professional army and to the north Vietnamese that were professional soldiers
Hey Dark Tech, please read the comments from the viewers and subscribers. Please get rid of the annoying metal music in the background. Serves no purpose other then distracting from the narrative, which i always enjoy
They aren’t, the tank can’t really be replaced. Nothing can fill the role of direct fire support and breakthrough as a tank can. The tank only really needs to be upgraded and tanks have with the equipping of systems that shoot missiles and drones before impact
Please stop using music to try to make the video more “exciting”. Especially the driving music in this video. It’s incredibly annoying, interferes with hearing what you’re saying, and adds nothing to the video. I had to give up watching in less than a minute. You do great work, please let it stand out on its own!
Your background music is becoming more and more obnoxious. Thumbs down, stopped the video after less than ten seconds. I will continue this, but without comment, until the music is removed.

The M41 is an engineering marvel, leading the way for modularity as a philosophy among tanks.
My dad drove one its my baby fantastic recon

As a World of tanks blitz player , it's a fun Tank in game , but Holy moly , I never thought it is that big in real tank
She was a really good-looking tank for the era
The last light tank the US Army used was the M551 Sheridan, not the M41
true
Thank you for sharing
🏆🙏⭐🤗
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Back when the US knew how to build a light tank.
The Japanese army taught the British the value of light tanks in the jungle when they drove through Malaya and captured Singapore.
The British learnt that lesson well and went on to inflict the biggest defeat of the IJA of WW2.
Sadly they didn't need the light tanks for Singapore... they came in from behind and crossed into Singapore with bicycles
not a single british tank opposed them, they were all in North Africa ...... made it easier for Yamashita
Incorrect the Japanese out maneuvered the Brits using bicycles on back roads.
@@robertpatrick3350 because the British made the ija surrender not the usa atomic bombs
*I love your videos mate but please, don't put rock music in the background. Is very disrupting & I can't concentrate to what are you saying.*
Really? That's all it takes for you to lose your attention?
The music volume is too loud to hear the narration easily. Otherwise great video.
@@dextermorgan1 its probably just something to complain about.
Yeah, the stupid metal guitar in the back sounds like crap. Lose it dude
@@dextermorgan1 DUH! That's why I commented what I commented.
Ah, the Walker Bulldog... The tank that symbolized the iron-fisted rule of Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Turn the music down.
I did read somewhere that one of the prototypes was rushed and saw action in the last moments of the Korean war.
Heck ya,105mm gun!!
Bring it to the WoT,it would stand nicely against T34-100!!!
"Most insane Kill rate guarantee"...
Bra, this channel always out does itself with hyperbole & clickbait.
The tank that fought Godzilla multiple times but could never defeat the King of Beasts.

Pleasse turn up the music. I love it
Rockin out right now !!!
The music kinda makes it hard to hear actually
it's funny to call the Booker a light tank because i've seen interviews that keep saying it's not a tank
lol

@@WhiteIkiryo-yt2it i went to wiki to confirm and yes it has both, it says it's an "assault gun" also which i guess is also meaningless now

Was the Sheradin not "light"?
I’m sorry I thought the M551 Sheridan was a light tank
1:38)The French FT was designed by Colonel Rommel. Internationally used 50+ years.

Was a crewman on M41A1, loved them, new power pack would've easily cracked 80kmph, put the fear of god in us especially in lockup.
I agree the music distracts
"Secret Tank"
"Never Officially Used"
So, what are you talking about? Because you're not describing the M41.
this tank fought to the last day of Vietnam, on the famous Newport bridge battle
Two things wrong the bulldog had a 90mm gun and the bulldog did see service and was retired around the 1970s completely
It looks like the m41 was a capable tank.

Wasnt the base for the Duster?
What about the M551 Sheridan?
would be easier to understand if you gave mesurements in english

"Dark Tech".
True the Chaffee was not meant to fight other tanks, but it was weak against the t -34s in the Korea war.
I built a model version of the M-41 with Reactive Armor packs
Looked Great
Give it a try

I guess the kill ratio will go up if you're fighting farmers armed with old WWII tanks.

I need to clear something up. The US Navy never used tanks. Maybe you meant the US Marine Corps.
Still my favorite light tank, followed by the M24 Chaffee.
HELL NAW I LOVED THAT TANK 😂😂😂
You say they were never officially used but it was officially used in the Vietnam war so your videos title doesn't make any sense!
This is the USA we go by mph and gallons this ain't those fucked up countries overseas. Get it right
Considering "those fucked up countries overseas " saved your arse in Vietnam until you Seppostanis decided to throw in the towel
What countries do you refer to here. Last time I looked you tube was for more than us citizens.
@@patrickporter1864 I mean any country other than America
Please stop using the background music
Why would the USN need a tank, Marines, sure but the Navy?
The “Q” designation means it was most likely a target drone for either ship gunnery practice or air to ground practice.
