I need your knowledge on a Vst I purchased, it's called "Heavier 7 strings" by Three body Technology. I played around with to see what I can do . But I need certain acts done that I don't think the employees could explain to me. I'll put the link in here so you can see what they're about. Hopefully you're willing once again to try this plugin out and do what you've done with the "Hydra" explained on this video. I need you point of view on this plugin through your playthrough, I'm usually intrigued by what you've learned, moreover showing me what I can learn. Anyways, here's the link. www.threebodytech.com/en/products/heavier7strings
wow. Thank you to everyone @ impact Soundworks, NI, and whoever helped get this one off the ground. Your'e pushing the needle to allow creators to create fire with ease. This plug is so good.
I should add that after multiple plugin tests and purchases, nothing touches shreddage 3. some of them didn't even allow for free play and was actually just samples recorded and locked to certain keys. Finally, I can create however I want.
Such a joy to see you perform.. Love all your reviews and infact these manufacturers should hire you to make their demos... Thanks for all these goodies you give out Ruben.. God bless.... 👊🎉 ..
Is there a way to subtly change a note/chord that repeats at the same velocity so that the result sounds more human rather than a series of exact same duplicates? Does a slight change in velocity have this humanizing effect?
This is pretty cool but I think the newest version is different. They changed a bunch of stuff to simplify it I guess. I’m trying to combine the strum feature with the velocity-sensitive chugging. Still pretty confusing.
would a 61 key be enough? As far as playing the full fretboard, the blue keys on the Kontakt layout show those are playable keys If I octave up or down that's how I would get to the other parts of the fretboard? But the key switches would stay the same?
A question that I'm trying to wrap my head around is the tuning. I understand the Tune & Transpose functions. But I purchased the Jupiter initially and I then recently purchased Hydra because it had a lower feel. I'm wondering how I can have something played in the same key, (B) but on the lowest string. To give it that low end power. I'd appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you.
If you click and drag along the fretboard, you get a little "capo" that tries to prioritize placing notes above it, therefore using lower strings. For individual notes, you can force it to use a particular string by using the keyswitches at the very bottom of the keyboard (around C -2 I think).
Hello, thank you for your video. Very informative. I consider buying my first virtual guitar plugin, and this one looks very interesting. I have a few questions, it would be very helpful for me if you could take a little time to answer, thank you :) 1/ Do you recommend the Shreddage 3 for a (almost) beginner? I played guitar for several years and spent a bunch of hours on DAWs software, but still, strumming and articulation look intimidating, and it's only a hobby, i'm not ready to spend hundreds of hour in menus and options. 2/ Do you think S3 is the best compromise between sound quality, control options and price, or do you recommend another one ? 3/ I consider buying Hydra + Stratus, to cover all my progressive metal musical inspirations (Dream Theater, Haken, Ayreon, Pain of Salvation, basically, ie. heavy riffs, emotional and sharp leads, charming cleans, and varied and moody effects and styles). Is it the right choice, and if not, what would you recommend ? Thanks again for your very appreciated help. I can't decide alone, S3 plugins are pricy, and they don't refund so I don't want to make a mistake. :)
Well one thing i can say is you succeeded in making it sound like a keyboard player playing guitar VST sounds BUT, that’s not me making a dick weed comment, that’s what us keyboard/piano players do. 🤣 That’s what all the “real players” tell us. “Man it sounds like a keyboard player” 🤣😂 I’m sure with a bit of playing with articulations it will be awesome. One thing about Ample guitars is they have a patch set like what a guitar player would play, certain notes can’t be played on a certain string when it’s already being held down with a finger. Not sure if this has that same setting or not. Good content tho thanks man. You got a new subber Addition: I bought this because of your review.
why the fast run sounds synthesized, artificial and not sounds real. Sounds silly like a mid file. Something is missing ... otherwise this version is highly praised. The samples had dynamics? There were noises from fingers and a pick , but it still sounds poor when played fast.
I bought the Serpent version and the samples sound beautiful. Unfortunately I wasted my money because the software is simply too complex to use effectively. Documentation on this product is a complete train wreck so there is no real way to get any training on how to properly use it
@@hifimidi To strum, I put my first chord down, all midi notes starting at the same position, same length. Then use F6-G6 (I think) as dowstrum/upstrum repeat keys. I also apply a random velocity on each midi note. Do you have any other techniques or suggestions to achieve better strumming? Excellent vid by the way. Learned a lot.

Which drum kit did you use for that ?
don't have midi on your site, only wav =(

Great review as always Ruben. I am glad to see you back again.
Thanks, Tim. It’s great to be back. I’m spending more time in the studio lately.
OK the animation is freaking awesome!!!
the one thing that ample guitar is missing is this kind of strumming feature it would be much more easier to use
Ample Guitar has the easiest strumming out of any library I've every used. Hydra works well, but it has a bit of a learning curve for strumming.

Thank you, Rezi. That's the dream, but I like what I am doing right now. I don't want to work for a company and have to sing their praises all day.
Great demo!
Thank you!
Can I use these tones while playing a guitar? 🤔🤔🤔

increíble la explicación y el producto ganaste un sub, me encantaría que hagas mas tutoriales.

Hi Mr.Carrillo! It’s Jordan! From OKCS remember me? You were my favorite teacher
Hey Jordan! Miss you guys. :)
@@hifimidi I bet you only miss me because the 5th graders last year were very mean and unbehaved
😂 I hope those brats are loving the new teacher.
@@hifimidi yeah they are they hated you especially The girls and Cole :(
I went looking for the modi, but all it shows is a .wav file..

@HIFIMIDI
To clarify, this can be used in any genre right? Not just rock and metal?

hi. very good and how to work with adsr and attak?
I think I underestood
Great vid. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it :)
What about the Ample Metal Hellrazer from Amplesound ? which one is better in your opinion ?
Hellrazer has easier strumming while Hydra has way more articulations and customization. They’re both powerful. I need to make a comparison.
Nice tutorial...
why SHREDDA3E?
SHR3DDAGE Its much better (?)
Great video, perfect review
You made me think I misplaced the 3! I had to check it against their actual logo. Phew. Thank you.

Great libraries. Awful strumming system.
It is a little awkward compared to ample sound but it gets the job done if you put in the work.
