Assalamu alaikum. I heard some news about PhD stipends increasing. For PhD students, will the stipends increase from 5000 Riyals immediately? If an initial economy class air ticket costs 3000 Riyals, will the student get the full amount reimbursed, and what documents are needed to submit for this? How long does it take to receive the resettlement fee of 1800 Riyals?

About increment I am not sure. Yes you will get 3k sar ticket. You have just to submit ticket invoice. You will get 1800sar when your bank account created and it take 1 month
So 1.5 or 2 month you will get 1800sar.
You will get free food card until your atm you received.

@AlanJordan-fl8ot it vary department to department. In computer department, for phd mostly they assign lab and for master grading, proctoring etc. Yes you have to work under faculty member.

Upto 10 months means.. we will not get Stipend every month or after 10 months.

In summer some students got job like teaching assistant or somewhere else in library or administration etc otherwise you will get only 890 either you live here or go to home country.
