Great video as always! As for PPSh drum mags, there were two primary reasons they switched to the 35 round stick mags. As you said, they were hand fitted to the guns, so one drum could work, but another wouldn't. And the loose fit in general also affected reliability. If the fit was tighter like it was on the PPD, the drums would've worked much better.
@@anothergermanmain video game vs real life, my dude. Pretty much everybody realized that drums were a bad idea, they are heavy, noisy, clunky, unreliable, expensive, difficult to make and honestly not worth the advantage in capacity in most circumstances, hence why pretty much everyone moved away from drum magazines eventually. The only reason why the soviets started using drums to begin with was because the Finnish were using them and the soviets got their asses kick in the winter war against Finland.
I do find playing with historical/realistic squad line ups so much fun. Like a GI squad leader with a box mag thompson, a bunch of m1 garands, and a few springfields with grenade launchers
Great match! I got in a match with you and Tooya in the test server while you were playing as the Soviets in Stalingrad. Don't know how I ended up being there having equipped BR 5 equipment. But it was great fun nevertheless.
You could've also played with flamethrowers as Soviet assault-engineer sappers used them extensively. Soviet assault-engineer sappers did use Panzerfaust quite extensively so you were not wrong there. Also alot of soldiers actually did use 1938 Mosin carbine as well as M44 rifle. As someone who loves to research red army and loves to keep it historically accurate in game i give you 9/10, too much SVTs in my opinion.
My team get's smoked everytime I play soviets and I'm pulling 100 to 200 kills a match and still managing to lose every single match I play as soviets the onlything overpowered about them is how stupid and useless they are
They are though- in almost every catergory Russians have better weapons. German MGs last about a second and then you’re out of ammo, and have to wait 4-5 seconds to have 1-2 seconds worth of bullets again… German Semi-auto Rifles reload waaaay slower than their Russian counterparts. Russian SMGs have waaaaaay higher ammo counts and ttk waaaaaay earlier and the PPD-34(the first Russian SMG) is just 1337 as all fuck if you know how to use it(basically… use it like a semi-auto and it’s fucking tiiiiiits). As a German main whose recently played through all of Stalingrad as both a Russian and German: it took waaaaaay less time to do so using Russia as opposed to Germany, and Russia is just easier in every manner save for Germany having better assault rifles… which aren’t even a problem until the end levels.
Historical load outs ought to be good, there is a reason why armies used those weapons after all! It is a bit unfortunate that enlisted is becoming more and more about weird prototype guns that never in a million years would have been fit for military service. It's unfortunately moving a bit too far into call of duty land in terms of historical accuracy and realism. Take the Fedorov Avtomat for example, by all accounts a trainwreck of a gun that barely worked at the best of times, yet in Enlisted its basically the best gun in the game....
Well they can't exactly monetize maps (that's why we get so few of them a year) so they need to do it through experimental weapons, squads and vehicles.
@Dregomz02 Besides eventually you run out of new cool stuff to add. It's WW2. Either they take the War Thunder route and add modern conflict or they will run out of cool guns to add.
“Historically accurate” Ppsh jams a lot with drum mags. 2 mags were issued with the SVT and it was common to reload using stripper clips. Pps43 is very underrated lol

Probably still one of the worst and unbalanced games on the internet. It becomes clear very quickly that the enemy program is beyond any reality and, if possible, against bonus players. Enemies shoot faster, shoot through walls, hit everything and everyone and are always there where you (don't) need them. It's striking... The momentum of chance and surprise seems to be switched off or programmed away. It's just bad.
@@vanja2565 It is boring unless you love to suffer. The AI is incredibly bad and it frustrated me until I deleted it. The game is crap until it's not pvp. It's not challenging or fun to just shoot non-reactive, standing bots. They have to simplify it a bit, better menu system, and just throw the ai out.
Hey quadro, is there a heavy allies favor on pacific war? I'm 142 battles in with 9474/3092 KD and a 92.96% win percentage. I've never been a top tier fps player so I'm genuinely wondering, mainly bots on pacific? It just doesn't make sense lol😂

And also stick magazines are easier to carry and reload in the field. You can essentially carry more ammo in stick mags than in clunky drums.
@@JohnDiabol the game doesn't agree with this. You get four more rounds with the drum ppsh (large ammo packs)
