To those confused about “where this ship came from”: In Long Shadows, Jaypaw ends up walking in Kestreflight’s dreams. Unlike the other medicine cats, who were confused as to why he was there, Kestrelpaw was not bothered at all, and was super excited to see Jaypaw! They have lots of cute banter moments too c: Also, no need to keep commenting that you “don’t understand the ship/prefer another ship”, I got it.

Behind Grayfire, this is my favorite ship in the books :3. I love Jayfeather, and Kestrelflight is absolutely glorious (and gay as all hell) I like to think of Jayfeather just laying on Kestrelflight as he vents to him his struggles.
