Oooh I can’t agree. Hindu times is a bangin opener on BOADC is better live than on record. Thank You for The Good Times does deserve a spot on there but at the expense of a quick peak. Just Getting Older is another worth considering.
Definitely agree with the inclusion of Thank You For the Good Times. I would also trade Force of Nature for pretty much any of the Noel-sung b-sides of this era (there are enough rockers to make the album a nice mix with Shout it Out Loud or similar). HC is probably my 2nd favourite album (after DBTT) of the Mk.II era.
Brilliant take! I like the different intro spin on little by little, also the alternative version of songbird really flows well with the tracklist. A few songs that often get dismissed (force of nature, better man, BOADC) really gel and blend in well with this rejig, especially with some great editing to really get the bones of some brilliant songs. Overall sound is pretty ace too! Definitely made a gloomy, cold and misty bus journey home from work have a bit of edge to it! Some real attitude in this album and your rethink really done it justice. Well done sir! 👌❤️👍🤟🎶
A few good tunes on this and not as bad as made out. I always thought the B Sides had a Special place and Heathen Chemistry could have been the 3rd than Be Here Now. The Challenge was always to try and at least Emulate DM and WTSMG, 1994, 1995 respectively, but as we were moving into the millenium, the music was moving in a different direction and also emergence of a younger generation and a newer brit pop pushing punk rock and indie from the 90s to one side. Surprised actually that OASIS squeezed out another decade or so from their successes.
Agreed HC is a low point creatively for the band. Hard to polish a turd but this is a decent job. Noel singing 3 songs on an album should never have happened, glad to fixed it on this 👌
I think calling this album trash is a little bit rough. It may not be the best album better, but it damn isn't a bad album in anyway. Seeing the tracklist is kinda weird tho like... Hindu Times and Force Of Nature are connected, is weird placing Hindu after the latter. And... where is She Is Love? That one is at least a pretty unique song, and it is actually pretty great for a Noel song, especially since beginning with this album there would be 3 songs where Noel participates in vocals.

Top 5 from heathen. I'm a bit difficult with the album. There's some really great moments that can pass as unrealised material, I think there's a possibility that Owen could've cobbled it together if they reconciled with him.
If they had replaced all in the mind, born on a different cloud and she is love with idlers dream, Thank you for the good times and Heart of a star it would have been a far better album.
Worst album? Not for me - Songbird, Little By Little, Hindu Times and Stop Crying Your Heart Out are better than 90% of todays Rock music and should be played more often by Liam and Noel nowadays - anthems!
Shout it Out Loud and Idler's Dream are two of the only good non-singles from this era. Leaving them off while putting Better fucking Man as an opener is baffling, to me. 1. The Hindu Times 2. Denfitly mabye, STOG and Heathen are the albums i listen to the most in adittion to the live album. Early 2000s oasis are the coolest period for me
Surprised 'Heart of a Star' didn't make it ... I'd have that as the closer over BOADC for sure.
Better Man as an opener is interesting, SCYHO would be cool to see as a closer. But anyway, great job man
