you: **closes eye on pencil thing**
me: **scared noises**
@@CertifiedToSimp it's actually not as scary once you get used to it!! I usually use gel eyeliner and a super small paint brush and it's a lot less scary doing it that way :)
I have spent my whole life unable to apply eyeliner and I’ve watched countless videos but you gave me the best tips by far. Thank you so much 😊
What color mascara do you recommend for a blond with green eyes and they are actually multi colors. I like for them to pop. Do you use a cream around your eyes to draw attention to them. Thank you dear for your help. 😍
As someone who also has sensitive eyes that love to water when I do my eye makeup your tip of using a cotton swab to absorb the tears is brilliant and something I'll defiantly be doing in the future. Thanks a bunch!
Using an ear bud to hold the lid open is such a simple but brilliant tip. Nice one!
Hey! Where are you from? I was just wondering bc where I'm from we call it a Qtip
I read this comment before watching and was expecting to see her holding her eye open with an airpod or something 😞
just watchinf this made my eyes tear up😭
This is the best, most straightforward tutorial I have ever seen on this subject. Thank you!
Those are some really interesting tips. I've been wanting to master the upper waterline. I like the q-tip idea to hold up the upper lid. The closing the lid on the pencil looks...tricky, but very intriguing. Great video!
You know what they need to invent? Is a color for the water line that is a white bluish grayish color that matches the whites of the eye identically. White is too whit and cream is too brown... know what I mean?
I’ve never seen anyone warm the liner. That looks like a great idea!
I love the look of tightlining and waterlining, but no matter what I use, they don’t stick. My eye-skin must be too wet. My eyes tear up a lot.
Looks very good on you.
Hey Eimear! I've been watching for a while, and i have to say you are fantastic to teach these tips and tricks👌,you explain everything so simply and make it so anyone can improve or try out any make-up look👍 Thank you for sharing☺!!
Very helpful, thank you!! Never thought of using (what we call) a q-tip to keep the upper lid open without smudging!!
Thank you for sharing! I was always confused on how to tightline the top!
Thank you for this video. It would be the best and easiest eyeliner tutorial I’ve found yet. 😊
i think tight lining tickles soooo bad lol
@@EimearMcElheron Hello lovely lady, Great tutorial!
Can you help me with how to tightline my upper waterline without it printing on the lower waterline? I've tried white eyeliner but no joy. Thanks xx
The cotton in the tear duct literally just changed my life!! Thank u so much 💓
I know this is like years late, but honestly the cottom swab tip is a lifesaver.
The first trick lining the upper tight line with the cotton tip worked great! Had no idea how to do it and was always afraid. I too have dry eyes and my eyes water often so felt comfortable with your tutorial. And my tight line liner lasted 12 hours!
This video was very helpful. Thank you!
I enjoy watching all your videos I've learned alot from you.
Thanks. I’m a newbie and I find your vid very helpful.
Great video, very simple and I think I will be using this techniques
💕love the tips on tight lining 👁👁in the middle of doing my makeup will try it now!!
I like the idea of using black eyeshadow to set the pencil. I'm going to try it today. Thanks!
Thanks for the help! I don’t think I am quite able to do that yet but at least I know some great tips!
your eye color is SO beaitiful it doesnt seem real! like the way they always describe " pools of blue" in books. 😍
Good info girl!! Learned a cpl new ways. Thank you
Thank you for this vid I've been applying liquid white eyeliner to my water line.
You have a beautiful voice, and I really needed these tips!!!
Such a helpful video! 💖💖💖
It really helped, now to try it. Thanks so much.
your eyes looks really beautiful actually
THHHHHANK YOU! I have been looking for thi type of tutorial.
i got super excited when i did my waterline for some reason, probably because i used to be deathly afraid of eyeliner because of doing waterlines
just thinking about doing my tightline gives me hebegebees. ... I love the video though :) x
Aw I know, it freaks me out haha I dread that step in my makeup routine! Thanks a million :) x
I never knew about the shadow trick! Gotta give it a try! I usually close my eye when tightlining.
Yeah I think that's definitely one of the handiest ways for applying liner :) Great to hear you picked up a tip! Thanks for watching x
Very useful video thank you very much !!! You’re so pretty, soothing and professional :)
Love your tutorial ❤
Super helpful! ❤️
Great tip thanks a million 😎
Amazing tutorial. Never tried the "wink" or closed eye method. Thanks so much.
Glad to hear that you picked up a couple of new tips! Thanks a million for watching :) x
Very useful video! Thanks a lot
Good tips. I hate doing my tight line but it does make a difference esp if I’m doing a wing :)
Your eyes are beautiful for this type of application because you're young and your skin is very supple. But I have found the older I get the harder it is to find a good pencil and try not to put myself in the eyeball. I just love a dark sultry look. Thank you kindly for your post
Thank u!!!! I learned so much
Great video! Thank you so much.
You're eyes are so beautiful😍😍
Ahh thank you! I’ve just recently gotten back into doing my makeup after four years of not doing it. Doing my liner the usual way makes my eyes look smaller and does not make my lashes look thicker 😂. I will be switching to tight lining!
Wow I came across this video randomly and am really glad that I did...good video, thanks for your tips
Personally, its a real hassle for me to do my eyes but these look like good tips, I'll surely try it out. Thanks for this video.
This was most helpful, I have teary eyes too.
Omg the closing the eye trick is fucking genius!
I have similar eye problems and was looking forward on how you lined upper with black and lower water line with white cause my eyes would soon transfer the black on lower water line
Very helpful. If I wanted to black tightline, but put a nude colour inside my lower line, is there anyway to stop it from transferring or is there a brand you can recommend that’s non transferable?🌞🧜♀️
Awesome video,thanks
its a very nice look I liked that keep it up dear😊😊 and congratulations for 205K subscribers😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Thank you for your tips👍
tysm for this. can you recommend a primer to use.
I can't wait to try these! I'm just so terrified of my top line..lol Thank you for the video!!
I completely understand! I've been doing it for yeeeeears and it's still a step I dread doing haha. Thanks for watching :) x
I tried one of the methods and it worked great except for the inner eye portion.. my eye said no..lol!
@@meganshillinger8294 Try totally looking the opposite way (or side), of the side you want to line, then try lining.
Thank you for this vid!
Very helpful!
this was awesome ty :)
Great tutorial
Your method made my eyes look so beautiful, Thanks a lot.
But I have a problem in removing the liner from the waterline as remover goes into the eyes and they become red. What to do, pls help!
This is very helpful. I wear contact lenses and I haven't been very successful with eyeliner. Thank you for your video.❤😂🎉
Good tips.
Helpful video ☺
i am already crying by watching it my eyes are so sensitive!!!but ill try it anyways and c if it works.
Awsome so beautiful thank u!
How do you get the inner eye liner to stay on and water off?
Very good tips here. I especially like the q-tip trick of holding up your lid to tightline. I've found that my eyes can only tolerate 2 brands of pencil in the waterline/tightline. Anything else is very, very irritating. I'm sensitive to mascaras too. My eyes are just so watery in general, I must be careful & use wp mascara & eyeliner. It's not a big deal using oil based removers.
It can be such a nuisance can't it? I'm the same with regard to pencils, I only have a few that I go between :) Delighted to hear that you enjoyed the video. Thanks so much for watching ! X
Okay, so I have blue hooded eye, cannot line the top lid to save my life, when I have had it done by friends it doesn't suit me. I know that the gurus (not this lovely lady,, who's tips have helped me improve my look and technique) say that lining the bottom with black liner makes you eyes look smaller but when i do it, people always say that it makes my eyes look bigger and brighter. I just find it weird that the what is considered correct in eyeliner is wrong for me or am i just weird?
Great tips ,I would like to know how to wear beige on bottom and black on top without any transfer ,my bottom waterline ends up grey !
Thank you ❤️
Eimear you are so helpful thank you.May I ask what kind of eye lashes are you wearing?they are beautiful and your eyes are so pretty!
Thank you so much! I'm wearing the Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes in the style ‘Shy’ :) x
I have to do my tightline first if I'm doing it because it makes my eyes tickle and water terribly as well. It's torture to do but it looks so good that I do it sometimes anyways
Yeah that's the same as me! I hate lining my eyes but I like how it looks so I deal with it haha. x
What do you suggest is the best tight liner for irritated eyes I have a terrible time NYX makes my eyes irritated plus I like a natural color not white I think white when you're 65 years old makes you look older what is your opinion?
But sometimes the eyeshadow gets inside the eyeball and the eyeshadow particles hurt
your eye color is beautiful
which type of eyeliner is best for beginners... liquid or pencil?
What eyeliner you are using? Great tech
love your Irish accent I have a Boston Massachusetts accent lol
I like her ideas I have really sensitive eyes
Thanks. Now I know how to make it set. Off to buy black eyeshadow.
i can feel this video
Me tempted to try this despite making my eyes feel like i hadn't slept in ten years when i took my makup off earlier
Thank u soooooooo much 😙😙😙it hepls me very much love u 💓💓💓
Lovely ♥️
you are so incredible at what you do! I have a question I'm hoping anyone can answer...When I wear black or any dark liner in my lower waterline, it always ends up building up in my inner corner and getting "gunky." Even if I set it with a black or same colored powdered shadow, it still does this. I've tried not taking the liner in too far to see if it helps, but even then it still works it's way to the inner corner and getting yuck. Am I the only one? I don't hear anyone else talk about it, so I feel like I'm the only one lol
Ellen Marie O you're not the only one. I see this complaint about eyeliner pencils all the time in the comments/reviews sections. I think water/tight lining is something you have to touch up every few hours if you use pencil.
I don't usually line my bottom waterline but I do tightline my top. The only pencil eyeliner I've found that doesn't collect in my tear trough is by IT Cosmetics. It also doesn't irritate my eyes. When I was in high school (a long time ago) I used waterproof automatic liquid eyeliner in my bottom waterline. It never smeared or transfered. I could even swim in it. The trick is wiping off the excess from the applicator brush & only getting product on the "ledge" near your bottom eyelashes. Let it dry thoroughly. If it touches the wetness of your actual eyeball it will not only smear, but most likely sting. The eyeliner I used is no longer available. I don't know if this would work with the current liquid &gel eyeliners on the market, but if it's wp, I don't see why not.
It happens to me too! Doesn't matter what I do it gunks up and then like.. bleeds out the inner corner making it look terrible. I love doing a black bottom waterline but I hardly ever do anymore because I've tried everything and none of it seems to work. The ONLY pencil that seems to do decently is the Marc Jacobs highliner - but even that does it after a few hours. It just takes a little longer than most.
thanks for this! God bless
Thank you for the tip of setting the tightline and waterline with a black powder shadow. I have very oily lids and I think this will help a great deal with running and transferring.
i think my eye pencil is a bit creamier, do the same things still apply?
Is that safe to put eyeliner on the waterline so close to the eye?
Love your lip color!
What brand and color is it? =)
"My eyes are quite sensitive." Pokes eye repeatedly.
-me. 😂
If her eyes are sensitive then my eyes and super hyper overly sensitive lol!
I'm low-key scared to do that
