I love the Trifacial Trinity, such a cool visualization of the idea. The Triangular crown and use of the triangle and even the pyramid frame, just gets me all excited.
Brilliant analysis but you missed a very important point . The main way someone would recognize the figure on the right as St. Augustine was actually the flaming heart he holds which was his symbol referring to a quote in his confessions. Another detail is the remarkable similarity between the robes of the virgin Mary shown here and that of the image of our lady of Guadalupe. Was this influenced by it?
I'm curious as to why this depiction of the Trinity was disapproved of by the Church. I would have thought it as being clearly representational of the Church's teachings on the Trinity. Regardless, this is beautifully, and thoughtfully done. Thanks, as always. :)
It'd be cool if we research it further. My guess is that the representation of God the Father went out of favor. But there must be works and papers about this topic.
Whoever was standing in front of the painting at the beginning of the video has epic hair, I must say... I'm familiar with the Trinity, but have never seen Them depicted as triplets or trifacial. They usually have Their own forms, so these interpretations are interesting. Love the brocateado. This makes me miss the medieval playlist.
The Cusco School. Peru. I learned new things every day. Thank you!
Learn about brahma, vishnu and shiva, the trimurti-lots of color

My wild guess is that all three with the same face could deny the idea that they are three different persons. Just a guess though.
