Is it that basically a Roman gladius?

While they are very similar blades the Roman gladius is more straight back to the hilt and it has a smaller round hand guard. The xiphos was more curved and had a larger hand guard amongst other differences.

How long does it take you to make a sword like that?

If that is the only thing I work on it takes me 2-4 days to finish. a week if I make a scabbard
