Hello Daniella, I found you through Renee and I’m so happy that you are buddy reading, the diary of a young girl. that book is very special to me for any reasons. My mother was Jewish and my father was Puerto Rican, but on my mother side, we lost people in the Holocaust. I was fortunate enough to go to the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam in the 80s when they actually surprised you by opening the bookcase Ayling the stairs that you walked up to the annex. I heard they don’t do that anymore. I started crying. Welcome to the community and I hope you make many happy memories here as I have these past four years. You mentioned the bookcase and I can't recall if we saw it or not, I remember seeing it on the museum website photos though.. I read the book when I was very young so I am sure now it'll hit harder. I am sorry for your family losses during those terrible days. Looking forward to watching your videos from Hawaii, I've only been to Kauai too long ago.. maybe 20 years... so beautiful and welcoming.
