Every time I see this video I think of Angelina calmly sitting on the sofa saying "yeah mom, I'll be there in a minute. I just got something to do first" -- then recording this incredible track like it was nothing, and heading to dinner. Her immeasurable talent makes this look easy, when few others could ever do this (at any age, and in any era).
This is Etta James version. Consider in your reaction that Angelina is sitting on a living room sofa with no production in a single take. Quite an accomplishment for a young girl. This is an old school song that is legendary and you can see that Angelina has adjusted the style of voice to make it appropriate to the song. She does that with all songs and is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices.
I imagine even the best of singers would struggle to equal this performance without studio magic.

IAMHE2K20 thank you for another reaction to my all time favorite musical artist. Never feel ashamed to shed tears while listening to Angelina. We angels cry often as her voice is so soulful that it is off the charts and she delivers a song far better than any other in my 62 years. Sometimes we cry just at the sheer beauty of her vocals or because of her humbleness and humanity. We are far better off for shedding those tears.

In the interview before Angelina sung, she said that when she sings she goes into an endless other world that is full of happiness. Angelina said the song's sound was inspired by the Bond films. To show the incredible cross genre abilities Angelina has, when 13-years old she collaborated with the Norwegian EDM (Electronic Dance Music) duo TRXD, and recorded the vocals for the song Above The Water. I think her career is about to take off from here. Back then she was kidding around at home with low production covers in one take. But today I'm looking forward to hearing more of her original stuff since she has signed with Republic Records. I hope she will release a lot of great originals in the upcoming years. Well, she's still so young!, she sure got the time to create a lot of originals.
