Silverfish are small gray-colored insects that can be up to 10mm long. Since they are hidden well and are active mainly at night, you get them during the day is not often seen.
The animals feel especially in humid areas such as bathrooms and toilets and probably like to move behind wallpaper, tiles or sidebars. They feed on dead skin or starchy materials such as wallpaper paste.

Another option is to place small pieces of potato on a piece of paper and this is to be deposited in the affected area. The animals crawl under the potato pieces and generally stay there. Now you can easily dispose of the sheet of paper with complete contents.
For prevention, you can also do something. Ventilate the room regularly and avoid wet spots. Wipe the tiles dry after bathing or showering. As animals like moisture, they avoid dry spots. Clean feeding grounds of pets regularly, because there feel the little fish often drawn. It is also recommended daily crumbs and scraps that fall from the table wegzusaugen.
In a pinch, you can also grab a commercially offered case. However, please remember that this most toxins are involved. These traps should not get into the hands of children. Also make sure that no other pets to come into contact.

The thing is i had a damp wall and covered it with plaster, the wall got so bad over the years we had to plaster it. Then the silverfish came... I wont be able to but the lavender or such like becuase of `reasons` but i really need another way.i just say one which is why i clicked on this youtube video. They live beside my bed. What could i do to help me sleep?

I use an ozone machine and close it up under the sink. Kills spiders, silverfish, mice, ants, roaches. Sweep them up in the morning.
Can you tell me the mix of lavender oil for your average spray bottle? Im thinking just a few drops, right?

@@QueenB75 Did your sister-in-law bring in boxes that already had silverfish inside them? Or did she bring in boxes, that attracted the silverfish to start eating on them? I have a silverfish problem. I’m trying to purge as much paper and boxes as I can from my house.. I’ve not found any silverfish in any of my boxes yet.. They seem to be coming from inside my walls. I even find them way up high on the ceiling..

Those damn pests lay eggs like crazy & very difficult to get rid of.
I luckily believe I have managed to get rid of them from my home.
Anyways I do not keep any cardboard around,everything is sealed in Rubbermaid containers to zip lock bags.
Also,keep your home free from clutter & darkness..
Open curtains & closets to let the light in everywhere.
Another tip is..
Do not have any leaks any plumbing etc.

my entire garage is damp, has a leaky roof, and is always dark. oh and its the size of a house. unfinished attic. rock cement borders. and a ever ending food supply of wall insulation that has no drywall. the outside is wood no vinyl. im never going to get rid of these fucking things

It's good for traps because they get dehydrated and that can kill them but its not the salt itself that duse it.
