  • Artificial intelligence is changing the world, and the medical field will be no different, said experts. New technology such as AI can help to tackle the challenges of clinical trials by reducing the costs, identifying the patients who may benefit from a new drug, and shortening the timeline for drug approval, Professor Chng Wee Joo, senior principal investigator of the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore at the National University of Singapore, tells CNA’s Asia Now.

Singapore 🇸🇬 has been used by Chinese firms to circumvent the US 🇺🇲 semiconductor curbs to China.
    - They do this by setting up subsidiaries in or moving headquarters to Singapore,

SDP’s healthcare plan is a total affront to the current practise of commercialization of healthcare in Singapore. With no representation in parliament, it makes one wonder why they are putting so much effort - it can’t be, as they put it, for PAP to plagiarize their plans. Or perhaps, it could be an indication of their larger plans, both for Singapore and SDP in 2016.

It is also “widely known” that spending more on healthcare does not necessarily lead to better health outcomes, he added.

Current AI is just information & knowledge fed by humans; AI cannot invent and cannot explain what humans do not know. It capabilities is still inside the human knowledge domain.

And I'm just supposed to believe the machine that these drugs are safe? Also why is it always about reducing costs with pharmaceutical companies? Didn't they make enough money off covid?
