Pero yung essence ng story, same. na-encapsulate nito ang buhay ng single men in their 30's sa generation na iyan. :)
Watched the movie during the showing in the theater many years ago. I can relate to the story having been single all my life, sending 5 nieces and nephew to school while working in a bank. Now living a simple life in a province alone but fulfilled. It is a choice and no regret whatsoever.

What a masterpiece I have watched SOLTERA from Maricel then I heard that there is a male version of it w/c is this SOLTERO.. Kudos to the creator and director and sayang nga lang at wala n si Jay Ilagan Gone but not forgotten..

Marami pang pwedeng mangyari. If I may say so, ok maging single, 29 years and up. Pursue career goals, spend time with family and friends, travel if you can afford it. Save for a rainy day. Don't get pressured into entering into a relationship and marrying just because you are 29 or older. If it's meant to be, marriage and children will come. And if it's not meant to be, it's okay. Enjoy the single life. Live life to the fullest. Better than being married and plagued with what ifs . . .
This is masterpiece of the 80s film. Jay and Rio are one of the best actors in the Phil Cinema. Im single at 67 yrs. Handsome ang younger looking. I see myself in the film , alone but happy in my life with our Lord in me

Ang buhay ay may kahalong saya at lungkot, subalit dapat ipagpasalamat sapagkat regalo itong mula sa Diyos.

I can relate to this masterpiece., im 59 now ., ang galing ni jay, Sayang wala na sya. Napanood ko nato nung bata ako, n this is the 2nd time at ngayon ko lalong naiintindihan ang life story. Salute to the writer n director. Pero mas gusto ko ang life nun napaka simple not like now ang gulo.
The story is very timing especially to those people who are pressured (kelan ka magpapakasal? Etc), i believe that you should never use somebody just because of your fear of being alone. Be with them because you love them
Don't know if the Millenials now can still relate tonthis feeling of aloneness. Most prefer to delay getting married (men and women) as they pursue their careers and other peeosnal goals even beyond their 30s.
