    This may be a dumb question. I’m looking at some Mtech II made out of abs plastic on my 86. Would this be the same process or completely different

    • @slightlyMADcustoms
      @slightlyMADcustoms  3 роки тому +1

      The mtech kit is a little more challenging but it’s what I did on my early model and it looks awesome. Booting up the front is all the same. For the rear the challenge is there’s no trim pieces to hide the mounting bolts underneath. And you need to shorten the rear bumper and rear valence together. Also you’ll need to shorten the rear quarter door pod, and there’s no real nice way to do that. If you want some more info on how I did it to my car message me on Instagram, I can probably show you some pics @slam.bandit

    • @slightlyMADcustoms
      @slightlyMADcustoms  3 роки тому

      Yes you can order the plastic bumper and all those parts off of ECS tuning although it will be pretty pricey. You can also buy a fibreglass set off of classic euro parts.com, or dtm fiberworks. Although your best bet is to try to find bumpers locally off of a parts car. Used plastic bumpers will be the cheapest and best fitting

    • @slightlyMADcustoms
      @slightlyMADcustoms  3 роки тому +1

      My car costed around $25,000 to build for paint, LS swap, new interior, suspension overhaul, etc. But I also work in the industry so I was able to save quite a bit.
      For tools, you need a welder, cutting and grinding tools, sanders, air compressor, and just your basic hand tools. Probably no more than $2,000 in tools.
      We have a video on our channel breaking down the cost of LS swapping an e30 if you’re interested!
