I always thought it sounded like a combination of Hand in Glove and I Want the One I Can't Have. Likely why they never released it - too similar to their other stuff
Wonder why this never became a full song? To my ears, musically it would stand as one of their stronger early songs. Maybe it never grabbed Morrissey enough to put a lyric to it, and I guess they weren't really doing instrumentals at that time..
I don't remember what book I saw it from but I think somebody mentioned that this was basically the precursor to I Want The One I Can't Have, so I guess Johnny just felt that it was the stronger version of the vibe he was going for. If I ever get to meet the guy I fully intend to ask him about the context of this demo.
I'm hoping that we get this on a Smiths compilation. And we know there's gonna be one because _it's the bloody Smiths._ Especially now in regards to Andy's passing.
Moz should of made some lyrics for this song. I love the Smiths early work so much for some reason and this sounds like it would of been a great single to release with Meat is Murder or something.
All I know is that it is from BBC6 in 2006. My understanding is Mike Joyce was wanting to auction off some old Smiths tapes he. had but Johnny Marr convinced him not to after he heard the news
Working title: "You've Got Every Hand In Glove Girl Afraid"
I don't think I could forgive the man for interrupting the ending like that, you just had to be quiet man :(
It’s like a cross between hand in glove , these things take time , girl afraid and you’ve got everything now

@@anncoates4104 There's something of "Still Ill" too!
So basically it sounds like the Smiths...
@@razorio007you could say it’s the sound of the smiths

Blimey, the boys seem knackered on this one. Good on ya, mate. I'm chuffed to bits over this one, innit?
Crikey! I shackled me dillet all down Pondery Square to this rammaging tunage.
Christ, this is amazing.

I'm getting B52s with Jonny on guest guitar...
Too bad this never turned into anything, it’s great. Doesn’t even need lyrics!
Oh, the possibilities, oh woe is me.
sounds good

What’s this from? Like I know it’s obviously a radio interview, but what was it on?

@@anncoates4104 thanks, kinda sucks we don’t get to hear that stuff but I’m sure johnny had a reason

you've got everything now but you're still ill...
Would've loved to have heard Morrissey sing to this one. Shame it wasn't released with lyrics added, seems like such a waste.
The Smiths without Mozza? Say no more, its gonna be ace
Said No One
nowhere fast but different
