Thank you for saying this! Nia probably got arguably some of THE WORST choreography on the whole show throughout all the seasons. The only one I liked was laquifa, and that's pretty much for the opposite reasons that the dance was given to her in the first place. But her turning what Abby intended to be complete joke and probably wanting to humiliate Nia, surprisingly turns into something unique and different and to actually be proud of. Kinda brought her out of her shell and gave us a chance to see more of her personality. THE SASS she gives is just so freaking adorable and awesome to watch. It was so nice seeing her feel so good about herself and getting so much praise from everyone, especially the audience. She gained so much confidence from Laquifa😊 Thank you Shangela for inspiring Nia 💕
exactly thank you and Nia was also very good when Abby didn't focused on her that much so imagine if Abby spend the time she put on Maddie on teaching Nia...
Please don’t kill me y’all .. while I agree with almost everything y’all are saying .. she was given crappy choreography and she was typecasted everytime BUT I feel like we’re old enough to admit that nia did not dance at the level of the other girls .. that doesn’t mean she can’t dance or didn’t improve , I think by season 4 she improved immensely and by season 5 she was on fire but around this time technically nia just wasn’t there and that’s okay but can’t just ignore it like it isn’t true .
It’s not literally just kids dancing though and that’s why it gets you fired up. It’s adults disregarding the emotional development of real living children to make dramatic television. It’s really really heartbreaking.
love the way you keep it realistic especially with abby, because of course she didn’t treat them well in general but her basic beliefs were absolutely professional. most reactors overdramatize abby’s moments, but especially here in season 1, she really was just a dance teacher trying to do her best. she wasn’t really classic “abby lee miller” yet.
As an ex-dancer, first season Abby reminds me a lot of my old creative director. I actually think the critiques she gives are super valid and delivered like most dance teachers would give them. For the sake of the TV show they could only enter a certain number of groups or solos etc, but in real dance competitions (of this nature) you can enter as many dances as you're willing to pay for.... I took my dancers to a comp she attended and I witnessed cruel kids calling her a cheat (not my students, I’d never allow that ish!!) The same thing happened to Kaylee Quinn in Sesson 6 Ep 11. Watching the second episode and knowing that Maddie and Mackenzie’s father was basically not present in their lives/slightly neglectful during their childhood is just so sad. Like no wonder Maddie was listening in on the conversation and didn’t want to speak to her dad or let Mackenzie near him. It’s sad to know how quick both of them had to grow up, but especially Maddie due to being a mother figure to Mackenzie, being Abby’s star which required her to dance like an adult and be perfect, while also being a good respectful daughter to Melissa. The group dance for nationals was gorgeous though and I wish they had more uplifting dances like that as they matured into young ladies.
Fun fact, the Ziegler‘s dad and Abby went to high school together. They’re like a year apart so when they wanted to put the girls in a dance, he is the one who suggested that they bring the girls to Abby’s studio. then by the end of season one he wants them out of there.
Maddie and chloe usually competed in different age groups since they are 2 years apart, or almost 2 years apart. But the show always mede it look different
Brad: Why are they showing the parents so much? The show: literally called Dance Moms I get it though, and love seeing you living (or sometimes not) for the performances. This show brings something extra special out of you!
i just think if the kids are preforming let us see the full performance 😂😂 we see enough of the mom drama, i don’t need to see them watching the kids ahaha
A varsity football starter forgot his cleats for an away game 2.5 hours away, my son was just a freshman but had the potential to play that night if the team got ahead. He willingly gave up his cleats and even when the assistant coach noticed our son had on just a regular pair of tennis shoes he never ratted out his teammate. While teammates compete against each other for starting spots, they also believe in playing like a team. It seems like in dance (or at leas on this show) that it’s all about their daughter winning the solo event NO MATTER THE COST. I get wanting to win but to try to sabotage someone else’s kid, talk bad about them, etc goes way beyond competitiveness, it’s poor sportsmanship
The parents act like children, while the actual children show much more maturity and compassion. I hate the unnecessary pitying against one another. I love how you expose the actual results and give more context behind the dances (what’s best for competition and so on).
The picture u used to reenact McKenzie leap had me screaming😂😂😂 former dancer, dance mom, and dance teacher here! You have a new follower. You are hilarious
Now that I have a child in dance I do wonder if Abby kicking the Dad out of the dressing room was edited and she was actually telling him at least initially he couldn't be in the female change room. A former Dad at my daughters studio kept coming into the dressing room and had to be repeatedly kicked out. He didn't get that the girls were changing. I saw red at the last recital when he laughed and said "oh its nothing I haven’t seen". My daughter was in the process of changing at that moment. I had some choice words and kicked him out. His daughter had her step mom with her so there was zero reason he needed to be in the room. Step mom was so embarrassed.
So interesting fact, on Abby’s UA-cam channel a few years ago both she and Gianna admitted in a video that most of the dances throughout the show especially in the early seasons were thought of by the producers. The producers who had no history or backgrounds in dance basically had most of the control and came up with most of the dances. Who would get to dance, who would be in a group dance/who would get a solo and the best solos/who would be in a trio, the style of the dances, who got the best costumes, the music. Abby and Gianna were just made to look like they were the ones teaching the dances completely but they weren’t.
32:55 Same! I had it happen to me in a tap routine as well. I also lost my footing because the stage was so slick and accidentally ended up doing the splits. I ran off stage so embarrassed and quit on the spot.
Another great episode Brad! Would definitely like to see Season 2 Ep 2. The dance and its “inspiration” plus the drama with Cathy about the competing solos. Great episode
My issue is the way Abby talked to the kids . It was toxic and abusive. When they were taught by another teacher the kids excelled because they weren’t screamed at constantly
I’m not sure which episode this is and if anyone could tell me that would be great but I love the one where the moms go into Abby’s garage and clean it out. It’s so funny and I think it gives a little insight to Kelly and Abby’s relationship with eachother.

I swear Cathy is the villain of the show. I went into this thinking it would be the dance teacher, but after seeing episode 6 I changed my mind. I can't believe she is bullying the other mom's and the fact Kelly got Botox because she felt pressured by the other mom's is ridiculous. and making fun of Christi's nose was disgusting behavior. I think Christi is the prettiest mom on the show.
I’m glad you say “livin on the dance floor”. Apparently it’s “leave it on the dance floor” pfffft. You’re my favorite. And this is the first time I’ve ever seen you. Your face after Chloe says I’m tired and I need a break - you look so sad. Awwwww
I really love watching this show with you. You being a dancer has always intrigued me and I enjoy seeing more of this aspect from you. I think everyone else probably does too. Learning more about you Brad is very fun. And watching a show about dancing with someone who doesn't know dance wouldn't be as entertaining in my opinion.

thank you for reacting!! s2e11 has a really great group dance but episodes 10 and 23 are also good too! can’t wait to see your reactions to season 2
I’m obsessed please don’t stop making these
i love how u say how it is with melissa too many ppl defend her and she was low-key so sneaky and rude it’s wild 😭
Just found your videos today… you pulled me right out of my Monday funk! Thanks love ❤❤
haven’t watched full vid yet but the setup and the lights! love it, big slay
OMG BRAD I WAS BORED YOU SAVED MY DAY HONESTLY
When you said "those eyes do mean business" i got my whole life ❤
This show sent me in part 1. These moms and the teacher are something else.
only recently found this channel and I have to say I can't get enough, LOVE brad and these reactions
I recently found your channel and spent so long binging your videos that you've released a new one :')
You've become my fave youtuber in the space of a day!
AHHH so excited for more Dance Moms content! You should totally do the episode where Jill goes to Candy Apples! 🫶
I have to say, I am eating this up. I think it’s some of my favorite content you’ve put out yet!! Please keep doing more dance moms 🔥
Ypur laugh is contagious 😭
The new background is amazing Brad your painting looks so good in the middle
OMG I ADORE YOU THANK U PLEASE NEVER STOP DOING THESE 😭
I’m glad you say “livin on the dance floor”. Apparently it’s “leave it on the dance floor” pfffft. You’re my favorite. And this is the first time I’ve ever seen you. Your face after Chloe says I’m tired and I need a break - you look so sad. Awwwww
Your hair looks so good this video!
Thanks for another DM video!
Musical theatre is chloes fav style and in their area it won even more than lyrical etc
PLEASE KEEP DOING THESE. I love dance moms and it's hilarious watching someone else react to it
I’ve never seen one episode of this show but I live for Brad boo reactions!!
Just watched the first one and stoked there is a second part
Omg you singing and dancing to the theme had me choking on my tea😂😂😂
Do more with mom shes so pleasant to watch. Your great but you guys have good banter ❤
I love hearing your dance/performance comments on this show!
So excited for this 🎉this show just gets more and more cray cray and im here for it❤
I stumbled across your channel today and I LOVE your energy!! You were just the lighthearted pick me up that i needed!! Thank You!! Sending love from Mississippi ❤❤❤❤❤
It’s been over a year since I’ve watched you I’m so happy to see you come up on my feed again
17:44 got me on the floor😂😂😂
I love watching you watch these, cuz as a fellow former-dancer it's wild to watch these and have insight into what's actually going on
Brad you should’ve watched season 1 episode 10. It’s the one where Cathy’s studio stole Chloe’s music.
Ugh Can’t you pls watch every episode🩶 I’m living for these reactions😭😭
I was literally just thinking about you & was hoping for a new Dance Moms video… and here you are!!!! 😂❤❤
I actually agree with holly...nia deserved way more solos considering she was SUCH a good dancer but abby kept giving her such BAD dances
