    Yeah works on loose stuff but what about hard packed driveways? Why wouldn’t I just get a 6 way dozer blade? Or a box grader and have 8k left over?

    I’m trying to figure out what this attachment does that I can’t do with my gp bucket.....???

    • @SkidSteerSolutions

      Great question! Your skid steer bucket Brian is going to scoop material and hold it. Besides the straight blades and wide surface area, the SKEER will cut the top layer and redistribute all while compacting and smoothing the surface. It's great for concrete pours and so much more. Remember, this is a finish grader.
      Thanks for commenting Brian :D

      @@robh6638 A General Purpose Skid Steer Bucket doesn't have the ability to cut and push the top layer of soil or surface with precision the way the SKEER system can, that's thanks to the Ground Zero Adjustment. Not too mention the fold out wings :D

      Thanks! It's all on the operator to ensure proper use. We've spent about 5 hours total with the attachment mounted on the machine doing a number of different tasks. So far... It's holding up really well and we are impressed with the build quality and strength, so we're believers!!

    • @SkidSteerSolutions
      @SkidSteerSolutions  6 років тому +2

      Sure we did, it's really up to the operator to ensure he is not pushing large amounts of material as this attachment is meant for finishing grading. That issue is also negligible, if you're cutting up boulders then I can see that being a major issue after enough rocks ware on the rod but that's simply not the case with this attachment nor is it really something to worry about. We've spoken to the mfg. and they've had zero issues with this (no replacements or warranties). We can see something being added in the future maybe to cover them from direct hits but it's really not an issue. Thanks for your comment!

    does it tip left and right like if your driving on a slanted road but need to grade it to straight level will the blade tip roll left and right to accomplish that. or does it always stay flat to the skid?

      Skid Steer Solutions some deflectors over the hydraulic cylinders to protect them and taller fold out extensions

    • @SkidSteerSolutions
      @SkidSteerSolutions  6 років тому

      Hey Austin, I agree with putting some deflectors on it but there really is no way of keeping the grime, dirt and pebbles out of that area unless the cylinder rods are fully enclosed, which would mean changing how the wings work and their maneuverability. The problem with the taller wings you proposed is the wings are not supposed to push a lot of material. It will put a torsional load or leverage on the wings and make the attachment less efficient at taking the surface layer up. Those wings have a pressure relief on them so that if you hit something with them, they give in to prevent damage. That's VERY important for someone who invests $10K+ in an attachment. If those wings start pushing too much material, then the machine won't be able to run as smooth and consistent as you see in the video. Remember, the purpose of the attachment is to finish grade, but as you can see it does a lot more than that. Nevertheless, it's a specific tool with a specific job to do, so that's why it is designed the way it is. Why use it right,
    Make it so.it can be abused,
    You guys have it brushing fluffed material so its limited for leveling,
    Why not make an implement for all shaping,
    The head board is a piece of tin,
    If you push up stumps or rock it will bend,
    It has angle but no tilt so you can't put camber or a Crest on a driveway or road, bolt holes on the cutting edge are messed up which you failed to mention,
    I can keep going but I'm sure you've got nothing but nice stuff to say about your product that's limited to leveling tennis courts.

  • @rionijam727
    @rionijam727 6 років тому +8

    Scam,
    Messed up bolt positions on the cutting edge so you've got to buy new ones from them,
    Try to shape a real road that isn't pre fluffed up material and that thing will bend on the first job.

    • @SkidSteerSolutions
      @SkidSteerSolutions  6 років тому

      Oh heck no, it's super strong. We ran this thing to the wall at times (off camera) as we were learning how to use it. Those wings are tough and the construction is heavy, and the design is sound. We mean it, the Skeer is really heavy duty. Like anything though, it's on the operator to make it last and do the maintenance + use it right.

    • @rionijam727
      @rionijam727 6 років тому +5

      Hi David, you used the word optimal efficiency,
      To burn less diesel the attachment should be fitted with tilt, not just angle.
      As for the bolt holes once again,
      I have not seen a cutting edge fall of a grader, Bob at or excavator with normal bolt holes which are all reversible and available in 10 stores in a 7 mile radius from me, to wait whilst new cutting edges were being sent from your warehouse, customers are simply locked into your system,
      It should work for you,
      I'm only the 10% of people that notices things like this before buying.

    • @rionijam727
      @rionijam727 6 років тому +2

      Hi David,
      I do see your choice of steel,
      As I mentioned, the head board is tin, my mailbox has thicker steel.
      Yes your right about the overlap on the cutting edges but can still be made by standard cutting edges,
      You know others dont sell these cutting edges, is it called monopolizing or repeat business.
      As in my other replies, why no side tilt for your product?
