  • A short video describing the services that the Liaison Services Department offers to UH faculty, staff, and students.
    Transcript:
This video will introduce you to the Liaison Services Department at the University of Houston Libraries and how we can help you succeed at UH. After watching this video, you will know the services available to support your research and how to contact us for further assistance.
You can access our resources from anywhere as long as you have internet and a Cougarnet login. We have books, journals, and a variety of databases to help you find materials and do your research.
Research guides are online tools created by expert librarians to help you get started with research. They are simple to use and can help you identify the best resources and strategies for finding articles, data, and other information sources for a specific topic, subject or course. libraries.uh.edu/guides/
These expert librarians also provide research consultations, which are one-on-one or small group meetings scheduled at your convenience to get help with your research. The librarian can help you find more and better sources for your project. If we cannot meet in person, the librarian is also available over Zoom, Teams, and by email. libraries.uh.edu/experts/
Librarians also teach workshops, in person and online, create online lessons, and offer instructional support. Graduate student instructors and faculty can meet with us to set up a workshop for their students or discuss ways to incorporate research instruction into their course syllabi and assignments. libraries.uh.edu/guides/inform...
UH Libraries offers services to support researchers at all levels wherever they are in the research lifecycle. From developing your research question, to manipulating and managing your data, to determining the best method of communicating your research, librarians are available to work with you. libraries.uh.edu/research/
For more about these services, on the Experts page, you’ll find our subject librarians as well as other librarians with expertise to help you. libraries.uh.edu/experts/
