Fun fact: Bunta's Impreza was originally grey, thats why when you see it in older Initial D Arcade Stage games its that sort of grey/silver color, while in newer games, the anime, and colorizations of the manga show it with that beautiful STi metallic blue
@@CaptainGanymede hate to say, it isn't in my opinion. FYI, every car in the manga is an online image with sketch filter(hint: The wheels don't ever turn)

Man… I have to let you know that you’re the reason I got back into model building. I watched your video of the R34 GT-R which lead to me watching all of your videos and buying a few kits. Great work as always!
hi juns I watch your video one year . Your channel is my favorite,my favourite car is 90s jdm i like make 1/24 car ,you video It's very helpful to me !Thank you for your video!💪
Thanks for publishing these!! I have a few models that have been sitting in place for a while and I don't want to mess up their quality, so it's nice to have a video with good instructions!
@@tobiasrenner3498 I didn’t know that also have you completed the hasegawa 4 door gc8 wrx as I’m going to take the sti parts from the fujimi kit and kit it on the hasegawa kit to replicate my wrx (it’s a 2000 gc8 wrx with the full sti body kit (wing, side skirts, rear spats and front lip)
And you're back with a bang! Great build Jun, you always make it look too easy 🤣 I think you should grab the s13 initial d kit next, currently working on it myself, and really enjoying it!
Finally after few months of waiting you have come back my friend jun with impreza build that just so happens to be initial d it's amazing that your work has brought you more subscribers so quickly jun anyway great job with this rally iconic of 90s my friend hope you are having good day bye now. P.S. Oh please for next build on your channel can it be honda s2000 anyway bye now.
Great question! For color coats I will stick with 3 coats of light-medium-heavy, which will give you great results. However, when applying TS-13 clear from Tamiya’s spray can, the clear coat can be a bit too “hot” when applying heavy wet coats the solvent in the can can dissolve the base paint around sharp edges, exposing primer. That’s the reason I spray 4 mist coats to build up the layers. It’s just safer to do it that way.
X22 clear is different type of clear, it’s acrylic based. TS-13 clear is Lacquer based paint and recommended for car body. TS-13 dries fast and hard, and it’s good for sanding and polishing. X22 takes a long time to cure fully and it’s not good for sanding because it’s acrylic.(very soft)
@@JunsMiniGarage thank you,and excuse me i use mr hobby C series clear is have same effect?because model shop not for sale now!😅 Because I don't quite understand😂
Thank you. I haven’t yet, I am still very new to model car building, there is a lot of cars I wanna build, I will definitely make a car with matte finish.
Well, well, well... look who it is. Glad to see you've been keeping busy 🐸 Once you've gone through all the Initial D cars (my vote like many others is the Sileighty - being an S13 owner myself -) , I'd love to see the Wangan Midnight Z.
I have been trying to find the Wangan midnight Devil Z, it’s super rare, I believe Fujimi made them. Once I have one I will build it up. Thank you for the support Jared!
As always, your videos are always enjoyable and relaxing to watch. What I'd REALLY love to see you tackle one day is something like the Ecto-1 from the Ghostbusters series, but at the same time, I'm also happy with whatever you do decide to build.
Wow, you are very cool and positive, I like how you make cars, I also make models, but not like that now I have a BMW x 6 in development and I want you to make a mark2
Thank you so much! I have this kit and never build it... Because I was waiting for this kind of tutorial!!! (And of course, I have a real Sti Type R Vers. VI in the beautiful 86F Cool Grey Metallic color).
For the people who don't know and always confuse Bunta's impreza, Bunta drives a Subaru Impreza WRX STI Coupe Type R GC8 with a custom 22B style front bumper, the subaru impreza 22B was a limited edition road legal version of the rally car, and it was very expensive and sold to limited numbers, so it would be impossible for Bunta to buy one
The Tamiya 74091 is a great scriber, I like the handle of it but the blade seems a bit too wide for 1/24 scale. I like the trumpeter engraver which has a thinner blade but the handle is too small, it is hard to hold the tool for a long time. I have both. I use the Trumpeter mostly.
Making Bunta's Impreza GC8 was a really bold choice. But a really cool one as well! For my suggestion, I suggest Takumi's AE86 Sprinter Trueno or maybe Sakamoto's Suzuki Cappuccino
I am back! Which Initial D model car should I build next??
Lightning mcqueen
How about the honda nsx, or anyone cus your super talented, love your work bro
Modified RX-7
The Ek9 Type R of Daiki Ninomiya , pls
The Sileighty would be a great build. Also the team emperor's lancer evo 6 and the grey night kids' r32

Makes sense why his car was like that in Street Stage, Thank you for the fun fact
Isn’t it World Rally Blue? What if Chika is his Granddaughter, we’ve never seen her car , and it’s a “wait for it” BRZ 😉 BRZ=86 and Subaru for Bunta
nice fact
Interesting. I did wonder why it was grey in version 3
Didn't realize that. Though it suits him more in the grey color
I wish there was an Initial D prequel. People always overlook Bunta Fujiwara's role.
There's a sequel manga called MF GHOST that's honestly pretty good
@@CaptainGanymede i haven't read it but i heard it might be getting a anime soon

Is there any difference in the result between the two methods of applying the clear coat?
4 light coat vs light, medium, and heavy coat?

Excellent jun very nice clean build, 👍i enjoyed that build, 👌
Lovely build, I wish this kit is more accurate if you know what I mean.
it's the S22B, the S44B was the sedan body,, also homologated for WRC
Hi! What can you say about your engraver by trumpeter? Is it better than tamiya(not 74091)? Is it worth buying it?
The Tamiya 74091 is a great scriber, I like the handle of it but the blade seems a bit too wide for 1/24 scale. I like the trumpeter engraver which has a thinner blade but the handle is too small, it is hard to hold the tool for a long time. I have both. I use the Trumpeter mostly.

Wish Aoshima made this kit. They really nailed it with the quality of the Initial D RX7 you built.
What glue used for the clear plastic? Windows, headlights. And would it be the same glue for the side mirror?
I wish you sold your finished models, I would NEVER be able to build them like you do, but would would GLADLY pay for yours to display!
I love impreza sti
