Hey, I own this oxelo pair of skates, did not have the replacement axles though, so once the break off, I just compensated the loss of thickness with big washers, and it was fine. I used this pair a freaking lot (8hrs/day), and it was good, really, very comfortable, and so light. Don't expect to slide or jump with it and actually keep'em in one piece for long, and do not expect either to do some great free style : your feet have some room, but they're quite solid for what they are. In fact I trust their frame a lot more than those thin aluminum non removable frames from FILA. The wheels are crap, but can be replace with 80mm if you want. Great model for total beginners !

I have the oxello (bought from decathlon), only difference is 80A hardness on the wheels. Been skating with them for about an year. And today I finally went to a skater shop to get seba fr1 or fr2 :) Well they did not have my number [a feeling you might be familliar :P ] (this is an hour ago since this post). But yeah it is true, their top is flexing alot , wheels gets worn out pretty quickly and well ... look ... i bought them for 42euro so they are cheaper than a pair of normal boots :P Hell my protectors costs half of that ... and they were the cheapest as well. But at the time I didn't know if i will like to skate or I will throw them away after 2 attempts/falls, so ... its fine. They were my training wheels so to speak. Seba here i come :) [gotta get my size first tho]... PS the last wheel bolt is longer then the others (because of the added brake). So i have put a washer on both sides to compensate for the width. Before a week ago i hadn’t been on skates in close to twenty years. I had a set of ‘rollerblades’, the original ones from the early nineties, they were expensive when new. Because i just got my kids rollerskates, i pulled out my skates to go skate with them. The old plastic was so brittle they fell apart! (Years spent in a hot garage) so i got new ones that look quite nice and were 50 bucks. They work just fine but i notice the arches of my feet hurt when skating. This could be because i’m not longer used to it, but i was wondering if ‘foot support’ is part of what makes a skate good or bad? I don’t remember ever having my feet hurt when i used to go skating. I am 51 years old, and in good shape, i’m quite active, i go cycling daily... this foot pain takes me by surprise. The new skates are K2 brand...
Just finished a month with oxelo fit 3 (first time skating), with Your channel I learned how to skate and I think I'm ready for tempish cronos triskates.
I love your accent is the best thing ever. I live in an area with extremely shitty tarmac and generally few smooth paths (pavement slabs with massive gaps everywhere) how do these skates fare in this kind of environment?
Hey ! I got a question for experimented skaters. I'm not really new to skate, I used to do a lot of skate when I was young. But I never tried figures or so ! Only basic shit, walking throught down, stop with the right roller, ect x) Now that I'm back to skate, I'd like to learn some techniques. The thing is I only have fitness skates. I tried the basics, like "L"-Stop, but I feel like I got a lack of stability, even after trying and trying again. So I wanted to ask you if it is possible to perform those with fitness skates ? It is really made for basics only and not stable enough for techniques, or it is me that isnt performing it well ? Thanks :D
I have a question. I haven't rollerbladed in years, but I got a new pair of Linear Lazer rollerblades (work was paying for them, and that's the brand they would buy) and the track is riveted into the boot. No real surprise, I suppose. Except that the tracks, on closer inspection, are not only too far to the outside of the boot, but the track on the right boot is actually about 1 or 1.5 cm further to the inside of the boot in the front than in the back. Basically, the track is angled inward, but only on one boot. Did I just not notice this when I was younger? Any information is appreciated. Tiago, I love your videos. I mainlined every one of them when I was getting back into skating. Learned more new about skating than I had ever known. Thank you so much
Looks like its miss threading when it first starts out. Could also be the small diff between a standard supplier for the axle and metric supplier for the bolt.
Really cool video! I wish I could afford some Sebas or some Powerslides. I have been skating with a cheap pair of variflex skates. It's time for a new pair!
Hi! Just want to know that is Roces ZYX inline skate model is a good choice for beginners?? And does it fall under cheap inline skates category or not? Waiting for your reply!
bro those axle (nut n bolt) cannot center because you remove the brake, remember the brake gives extra layer to the frame. earlier you mention that in the package oxelo gave the spare axle (nut n bolt) right? maybe you can use them.
I have the Seba trix2, 500$+ in my country, I made a majestic welcome fall on them, caused me pressure bruises on my wrists. But they are amazing, I'm not used to such a high wheels (80) bcs I did hokey before but those babies are so worth it, ur ankle don't move, and it's so important, although I fell hard, my ankles were safe and this caused my knees to soft fall🙏 you pay more but the safety is important, at the end you wanna enjoy, not be injured. If you kid around ok, but if you truly wanna skate , ESPECIALLY beginners should invest more.
What skates would you recommend? I play roller hockey and I'm comfortable on skates and I need adjustable skates from around 5Y to 8Y(I have tiny feet) I'm in the US and on a budget
I just have a quick questions about the oxelo skates, oxelo skates are a good brand tbh, i am just wondering if you got them online because it is better to get them irl rather then online because it could come damaged, I have them and they are amazing, its also the locks, there are different types too, I think you got the beginner one though, because if you get the intermediate roller blades it will be like the sever eagers, also forgot to mention the diff types of oxelo skates can adjust too, aswell as the professional ones.
So this was made years ago, even before I started collaborating with them i think haha! They do amazing skates now, with the MF 500 & 900! Something more interesting will come later from them though 🤭 !
as a beginner skater, I bought oxelo skatess but unfortunately I am pronating inwards severely and I cannot even adjust the frame position 🥲. I love skating but now I go out skating less and less because the shin splints and foot pain I get is severe. This is really dissappointing for me :(
Hey Tiago and the gang, I was wondering if you any of you guys could help me out. Basically brand new to skating. (Paragraph Inbound) So I just got into the whole idea of skating and I seems like a whole lot of fun. I have skated about 5 times now for 45-60 minutes each time. The biggest struggle I am having is that my ankles want to bend inwards, and I have to bend them to get any power to move anywhere, and its not a whole lot of power at all. Small hills are a struggle for me to get up, or to go fast (not that I'm really comfortable going fast yet). So I will go over my theories and maybe you all can help me out. Firstly, I've been borrowing my girlfriend's dad's rollerblades that he wore one time and didn't use again. They're quality athletic blades, expensive i believe, but the wheels aren't like the ones I see on all these videos. They are shorter on the inside of the wheel and longer on the outside, almost like if they were rounded wheels that have been worn down, but they are brand new wheels, it's just their design. I feel like I have to be pushing my ankles outward to keep on that very thin point where the the wheel "point" is because it's on the outer side. Is that how they are supposed to be? Should I get different wheels/skates (might buy my own) that are rounded to start off at my beginner level? Secondly, I believe also it has to do with me just being a beginner. My ankles could just need to get stronger but I am athletic, I am a strong runner and I lift regularly. Maybe it's just my form or something, but my girlfriend who is a skinny little thing just zooms right up hills with ease while I am going full range of motion with my leg pumps (exaggeration) to get up a 10 degree bank hill lol Could it also be the fit around the ankles? I can't tell very well if my ankles are moving around in the skate or if the whole skate is moving while I am actually moving in them. Sorry for the paragraph, but I would appreciate any shared knowledge!
I have an oxelo skates, its the only new skates u can found in my country. I started inline skate 2months ago , and the wheels are less performing, but they are comfortable , feels like they are made only to skate without doing figures and tricks... i bought them for 899Mad (90euros).
Hmmm... First time I'm kinda disappointed with one of your videos. There's already A LOT of comparisons out there between freeskate/freestyle skates and cheap FITNESS skates. It would have been awesomely helpful if you picked a cheap hard boot freeskate (Oxelo MF500 for instance, or some Playlife maybe) and compared it with a expensive one... Anyway, thanks for all your help, you're doing a lot for our community 😊
totally agree. More than that: Igors are not even the pure freeskate skates, they are specific slalom model ( Igor Cheremetieff is a god of slalom, not freeskate). The only expensive skates that could be compared to these Oxelos from the point of their specific aim are Powerslide Swell.
Hey I have a question I have been skating for about 2 1/2 years at a local skating rink that let's you barrow. I have been wanting to get some speed/exercise skates. Do you have any recommendations under $220 USD. Thank you in advance
hi! do you know where i can buy other screws like the ones we saw in this video (for the advanced skates...that can be romeved with just one allen key)? i have fila ghibli 90 skates and i need them!!! thanks
Could you make a simillar video, but with cheap (not cheapest) skates vs premium? I'd call myself novice->intermediate (meaning I'm looking at potentially upgrading) when it comes to skating and I've yet to come across someone who can properly explain why skate X is better then Y, other than Y is always more expensive. Why? Why would I go with Imperial Evo over Imperials? What's the difference between the steps? Why did a friend of mine tell me to skip that pair of USD's, but those Aeon's are pretty damn sweet? I can tell there's a price difference, but why though? Tiago, please! WHY Y?! Also, why is the weight of skates not displayed? I can't find the average weight on any skates. "Evo's are lighter". How much though? (In scandinavia at least) most people will enter inlines skating either through K2's or Bauer hockey skates, which are around 120$. I'd say that would be the starting point for most bladers.
Hi, enjoy your videos very much, this one is off the mark. Comparison should at least be between similar productlines, Oxelo MF500 was a better bet. Considering the price difference is 1050%, one should not expect fit & finish standards to match. The objective should be to tell beginners if they can safely enjoy skating with a cheap skate before investing in a high end product? Thank you.
This video is helpful, I've been thinking of buying skates right know I just hire them from a rollardome place but the problem is my feet are still growing so I don't want to spend money on skates which I will grow out of in a less than a year but I think it's worth it I love skating and it will be lovely own my own pair.
Cheap skates are the reason most people try once and never try again. The same as any sport, you need to pay more for quality. More expensive skates are usually far easier to skate on than cheaply made 'entry level' skates.
Just read the description of "Tiago the french inline skater". The first few videos I thought he was just saying Tiago Inline Skater (channel name) and I just couldn't figure out why it was so impossible to understand in his opening. x_x
In the beggining of the video you mentioned another video you made, but you didnt say the title and you didnt post a link in the description. I would like to watch that video too. Thanks.
They both drive. I use superold cheap skates with worn out wheels an a broken wheel that does not turn properly... And I kinda get along... It is not awesome to try to race, because they are shaky at high speed and slip but they work... It is just too much money.
Look for secondhand ones. This sport is so niche that the seller will be forced to sell for a very low price. Think 50-100 for a decent pair. But you still have to be lucky to find the right size.
Nice Video, Thanks a lot. Your channel helped me learn skating and I'm now much better. Can you please make a video on both forward and backward stairs rolling in detail. Thanks Tiago.🙏
I’m having trouble finding a good online vendor that’ll ship to Guam. We’re US territory but we always have issues convincing the vendor that we are. Amazon is selling them at a extremely high price. Looking for suggestions!
Hey ! ^^
Hey man, know this isn't super related, but would you happen to know of a not super crazy expensive freestyle/freeride skate that comes in size US14/EU48?
Oxelo axles are crap indeed. I own a fit500, which is double the price of this one, should be the top ox the oxelo fitness skates, (I actually wonder how would you rate it). Anyhow, ahter the first run I was about to spin the wheels around, because the 80A got bad in 15 kms, and broke one of the nuts. The wrench just destroyed it, because It was stuck by design. So you buy a new axle, right? Well, maybe you do in France (since that is a french sporting mall, right?) but not in Hungary. I could only buy axles for the same skate you have in your video (fit3 or something), but those can't be used to the fit 500, because the axles are longer with couple mm-s that the frame, so you cant lock them without spacers, or, as I did, cut the mother bolt shorter. I've destroyed like 5 of those suckers until I could get it quite right. I can't really say bad about the skates though. Last time I was skating I was about 20 something, I did aggro inline, and Oxygen was still a brand. After 15 years I decided to come back to skating, but more for fitness reasons and I wasn't even sure that I can skate at all, after I had some nasty accidents. The bottomline is, that I actually can't decide that my cheap skate is good or not. I know that I don't plan to do any freestyle/aggressive/slalom anymore, just go around with my skates, for 10 - 20 kms, but would it make sense for me to buy a more expensive skate (like a k2 fit) which is still considered a beginners skate, but on double price because of the brand. Anyhow, keep us posted, I'm really interested about what you think of it. Also on a sidenote, some things like the replaceble parts is quite irrelevant for my kind of skater, as my skate will not suffer much beating. What is important to me to go for hours around, and feel comfortable with it.
so i decide to start skating last summer and for my first skates i bought the Seba High Light because i really liked those skates until one day i skated into a post with nails and staples and cut myself badly (I have not skated since) don’t know if i should buy a more beginners skates or just more simply practice with the one i have and be more careful.😁🤷🏽♀️
Mission skates are a really good set of skates but the wheels are for indoor skating cos they are hockey skates I own a pair and they are so worth the money
Soft wheels stick to the ground more and are slower, more tiresome and in general less fun because of that, but "safer". Hard wheels tend to slip out sideways and make skating not so fun on slippery (e.g. wet or indoor rink) surfaces. Even so, given a choice between hard and soft, hard is usually the way to go for outdoor skating.
The red pair…those wheels hurt to look at, man. SO close. As a novice/hobby skater, I know I’d get gum or a pebble stuck on a wheel and cause wheel lock.
@@TiagoInlineSkater I don’t think wheel lock is the right term. I’m saying, a pebble or stick gets stuck on a wheel…and the proximity to another wheel means the rock lodges in both simultaneously, is forced between and makes the wheels lock up. And I faceplant. Or worse, my weight deforms the wheels enough to touch and the friction is too much. And I faceplant. Something I’ve feared for decades.

This is really dissappointing for me :(
I want to be a freestyle slalom slater but i only have enough money for the fitness skates, is that okay for beguinning?
Could we see more skate flow videos please
Really cool video...its lit...though we need the part 2...😉
Hey Tiago and the gang, I was wondering if you any of you guys could help me out. Basically brand new to skating. (Paragraph Inbound)
So I just got into the whole idea of skating and I seems like a whole lot of fun.
Maybe it's just my form or something, but my girlfriend who is a skinny little thing just zooms right up hills with ease while I am going full range of motion with my leg pumps (exaggeration) to get up a 10 degree bank hill lol
Could it also be the fit around the ankles? I can't tell very well if my ankles are moving around in the skate or if the whole skate is moving while I am actually moving in them.
Sorry for the paragraph, but I would appreciate any shared knowledge!
I use the oxelo fit 3 they look a bit different were I live but its been 2 years so they probably just improved the design
New videoooooooooo yayyyyyyyy thank youuuu
Hey I have a question
I have been skating for about 2 1/2 years at a local skating rink that let's you barrow.
What headphones do you wear while skating?
I've been waiting for this video ! Thanks a lot dude !!! (ViveAirGear)
I like soft wheels because I can roll over rough pavement without slowing down as much.
Thank you.
Well from experience, like cars, and anything else, you get more if u pay more, bcs the team that create them are ppl who work hard too
This video is helpful, I've been thinking of buying skates right know I just hire them from a rollardome place but the problem is my feet are still growing so I don't want to spend money on skates which I will grow out of in a less than a year but I think it's worth it I love skating and it will be lovely own my own pair.
Cheap skates are the reason most people try once and never try again.
The same as any sport, you need to pay more for quality. More expensive skates are usually far easier to skate on than cheaply made 'entry level' skates.
Just read the description of "Tiago the french inline skater". The first few videos I thought he was just saying Tiago Inline Skater (channel name) and I just couldn't figure out why it was so impossible to understand in his opening. x_x
The way you said “I think these are the softest wheels I’ve seen for the moment.” I’m telling you I’m DEAD. Plan my funeral, y’all. Lmao. T___T
You're awesome! Liked and subscribed
I myself use the oxelo fit 3 and its amazing and its much better quality than the fit 5
I have this oxelos, in gray, and it is nice
Nice Video, Thanks a lot. Your channel helped me learn skating and I'm now much better. Can you please make a video on both forward and backward stairs rolling in detail.
Thanks Tiago.🙏
I’m having trouble finding a good online vendor that’ll ship to Guam. We’re US territory but we always have issues convincing the vendor that we are. Amazon is selling them at a extremely high price. Looking for suggestions!
Tiago u have good hair bro!!!
Hey !
Yay new video
HI TIAGO I HAVE A SALOMON XTR-WAVE IS NOT FREESTYLE TYPE
Awesome video! :D I really like how you go into detail about the features of the skates. Keep up the good work!
From my experience, it's better to invest on expensive skates as they last longer compared to the cheap ones
With asphalt wheels too. I think all rollerblades and skates should have asphalt wheels automatically
Can you make vid on how to remove brakes on them
Hey man, know this isn't super related, but would you happen to know of a not super crazy expensive freestyle/freeride skate that comes in size US14/EU48?
Great analysis Tiago!! Thank you
Oxelo axles are crap indeed.
What is important to me to go for hours around, and feel comfortable with it.
please tiago give me idea how much roller skate.. i love it and i love your vedio
I have 3 we’ll skates I like to now how to use them I now how to skate X ice hockey skater but love now how to do some t stance on them
Wait a second... THOSE CHEAP ONES ARE THE EXACT ONES I HAVE
Are they good ?
@@aliensexfien they do the job i mean if your on a low budget this is really good from experience but you could get some better ones
I'm a quad skater :3 but this still helps
One screw is longer for brake instalation.
so i decide to start skating last summer and for my first skates i bought the Seba High Light because i really liked those skates until one day i skated into a post with nails and staples and cut myself badly (I have not skated since) don’t know if i should buy a more beginners skates or just more simply practice with the one i have and be more careful.😁🤷🏽♀️
ps i enjoy watching your videos👍🏽👍🏽
Just practice.
Well, you bought almost the best rollers in the market. don't blame them... It's your fault!
Mission skates are a really good set of skates but the wheels are for indoor skating cos they are hockey skates I own a pair and they are so worth the money
such a well-made video
Maybe you could use Seba frx axle in Oxelo skates., if original doesn't work.
or use the backup one that came with the wrenches ?
I got mines for £10, crap bearings so it didnt roll ; I was basically running with wheels on my feet. I dont know if i can skate...
I think Seba skates specalities as oxelo fit500.
Hi, I wonder what is the difference between hard wheels and soft wheels?
Soft wheels stick to the ground more and are slower, more tiresome and in general less fun because of that, but "safer". Hard wheels tend to slip out sideways and make skating not so fun on slippery (e.g. wet or indoor rink) surfaces. Even so, given a choice between hard and soft, hard is usually the way to go for outdoor skating.
Ok, thanks! But what is like a normal hardness?
Joachim Jernberg 82A
Ok! Thanks!
The red pair…those wheels hurt to look at, man. SO close. As a novice/hobby skater, I know I’d get gum or a pebble stuck on a wheel and cause wheel lock.
Why? Cause of the rocker?
( the risks of having a wheel lock are extremely low; and if/when they happen, you can handle the situation :) )
@@TiagoInlineSkater I wouldn’t have the experience to control my fall. That’s the issue isn’t it.
Why don't you put link for buying?
I think the brake wheel is everywhere, same with mine, wouldn't center.
